Stargazer Rouge Semi Permanent Hair Dye

When I was 14 I used this dye over my natural brunette (back when the packaging was black) and back then it DID leave some quite vivid, lovely streaks of red through my hair that lasted a good while but I do want to point out that is on completely natural hair and my hair type, it may not be the case for everyone. To get the proper tones of this colour you want either blonde hair or bleached blonde hair or it won't show more than a faint, mildly red tone and it will NOT leave any hints on medium brown or dyed hair. This colour is easy to apply, it doesn't have any strong chemical smells (it doesn't smell) you can seal it over and use it again. Put it on and leave it for the longest application to really let the colour soak in and then rinse it out with slightly warm or cool water (so as not to strip it out) and you're okay. I do want to mention that with brighter colours you shouldn't be using strong shampoo, washing your hair more than once or twice a week, using warm water (warm-ish) is okay or using lots of heat products because they will IMMEDIATELY remove the colour. That is the case for semi or permanent dyes regardless. My hair is bleached to a slightly gingery colour and when I put this on it really came out a beautiful vivid red, a lovely tone for very pale skin with cool tones in it. It isn't too bright it looks silly or like a wig and it isn't boring or dull. The colour lasts well but you should always be sensible and get an extra box if you like it because with these colours you can never estimate how long they last as everyone's hair is different and what works for one person may not be the case for others. I highly recommend this product, no damage, no problems, no mess and it leaves stunning results. I am very happy.

Absolutely amazing This is such a beautiful bright colour. My sister's hair was dark red on the bottom half and a natural dark brown at the top. We bleached this once, which left it orangy with a couple of darker patches but we didn't have time to do another, as I was getting married two days later! So we risked it and put the other 3 bottles on anyway and this was the beautiful result! Her roots were slightly pinker, which these had gone to quite a decent blonde, so I'm guessing if you were a bright white blonde all over, you're going to get an array of bright red and some pinks, throughout the hair. The bottles are fairly small, so bare this in mind when you're purchasing them! My sister's hair is thick but not overly long! They mix well and go on easily. One of the three boxes looked a different colour on the outside but it was the same colour dye inside the bottle, so that's good but I thought I'd mention incase anyone worried! I would absolutely recommend this hair dye colour! Worth the price and it works brilliantly. Just slightly small size bottles!

I didn't have high hopes after reading the reviews - but I've dyed my hair red lots of times, and know very well that red fades FAST. Initial application was fantastic, a little goes a very long way. I did half a head of waist-length with half a bottle. It smells good, not particularly scented, just that nice neutral hair product smell, and it was a super easy clean-up, nothing got stained or ruined. I left it in for an hour and a half while I worked to really let my hair soak up the colour, and when it came to washing it out I used freezing cold water to prevent fading. It came out easily and quickly, with no signs of fading, but be aware with red dye, you will have to touch up more frequently (every 6-7 washes) to keep it vibrant. The colour itself is true to the photo, and I started with yellow-blonde + ginger hair. Super vibrant, my hair feels incredible soft and nourished, and I'll definitely be re-purchasing when the other half of my bottle is done!

I've been using stargazer for several months as a cheaper alternative to manic panic and it's been relatively ok so far. I used red for the first time recently on my already bleached hair. It lasted for around 2 washes and faded drastically to the point some of my hair had reverted back to blonde. On the other hand, I've used some blue shades and it's so difficult to get out, even after bleaching there's still blue tones left. I'll continue to purchase stargazer but I'll go elsewhere for red in the future.

I had dyed my hair a mid blonde and wanted a change to go to a rock festival. I used the rouge. So easy to apply and half an hour later I got the colour I wanted. Just remember to put vandalise around your skin before application!

I like using stargazer as its easy to use and is temporary 8-10 washes for the brighter colours. It doesn't leave a tinge to your hair after fading unlike other brands (e.g. Some pinks can leave a green pigment (yes it does happen before you wonder)). I tried the Rouge this time. Lovely colour, quick application. Nice and bright after leaving to process for 30 minutes. On my blonder hair it's really vibrant and is more a pinky red (hubby says its pink, I say red but will fade pink by looks of it). Either way it's a nice colour for a change.

This stuff is great!! and this is the cheapest ive seen it, i thought it would fade a lot quicker than it has done but two weeks on and my hair is still glowing!! I have found that it has actually held its brightness longer than when i have had it dyed permanently. its easy to use but if your not carful it can make a bit of a mess, try not to get it on your face and definatly use the gloves provided. be prepared to ruin a towel too! all in all great product and will defo be using again!!!!

Très bon produit, l'utilise depuis l'année 2000 sur une grosse mèche de cheveux décolorée auparavant Juste faire attention j'avais commandé la nuance rouge et vous m'avez envoyé la nuance rouge feu qui n'est pas tout à fait pareil, la prochaine fois je les retourne merci
