Delicious wafers, similar to the ones I ate as a student, but without the sugar
These are delicious wafers with various sweet fillings. The first ones I bought were chocolate hazelnut, which reminded me of wafers with chocolate hazelnut filling that I used to eat as a student, but without the sugar. I bought the first box as a snack for travelling, both for myself and others, and everyone loved them. The next flavour I tried were dark chocolate, because they were offered at a lower price than chocolate hazelnut, and they were a hit too. The chocolate hazelnut wafers are closest to my old standby as a student, but the ones I bought then were only offered in either chocolate hazelnut or chocolate. I’ve always loved vanilla, so when I saw these were offered in vanilla, I couldn’t resist ordering some. I wasn’t disappointed. It’s nice to have variety, but if I had to choose only one flavour, of the ones I’ve tried, I think I’d go with vanilla. The chocolate raspberry, however, sound tempting too. One of the best features of these wafers is the low sugar, with stevia used for sweetening, along with sugar beet and corn fibre to add the sort of bulk that sugar would have. In contrast to sugar alcohols, which have dubious nutritional properties and can even be dangerous, the fibre in these wafers is real fibre, with all of the health benefits. Some people dislike stevia, claiming it has a bitter taste, but I’ve never experienced any bitterness with stevia, and certainly not with these wafers, so it must vary from person to person. Those who like stevia will probably like these. The wafers are high in fibre, which can cause digestive discomfort for people who typically eat a low-fibre diet, but for those who eat a healthy diet with the recommended intake of fibre, these should be fine. I eat a high-fibre diet, and I don’t notice any discomfort after eating these. The size of the wafer is perfect for a snack, and they hold up well. I haven’t run into any problems with crushed or broken wafers. The packaging box probably helps, but the wafers themselves don’t break easily. They’re good value for money too, especially given the absence of sugar and the fact that they’re suitable for vegans. All in all, I can highly recommend these wafers, especially but not only for those looking to reduce dietary sugar and vegans. The only exceptions would be people who dislike stevia as a sweetener or aren’t used to eating high-fibre foods.

Almost too sweet?
Like all the Rip Van keto products, these are really yummy. Almost too good because you want to back for more and then you just blow your daily macros. If anything these are maybe too sweet? Is that even possible? Also in shipping these can get pretty sloppy/melty but stick ‘em in the fridge or freezer and they firm back up. Not very pretty at that point but totally edible.

Surprising miss compared to the rest of the line
Ever since I stumbled across the Rip Van snack line last month, I have been ordering different items to try. I have honestly been really surprised by how good most of them have been in terms of taste and quality, which is why this one caught me so off guard. The Rip Van Vanilla Keto Wafer Cookies were a big miss for me. The flavor was the main issue. It did not taste like vanilla at all. The filling actually reminded me more of butter than anything sweet, which was unexpected and not in a good way. The wafer itself did not have much flavor either. I did not mind that with some of the other Rip Van items because the filling balanced it out, but that was not the case here. Everything together just tasted off. I was honestly shocked by how different this one was from the others I have tried from this brand. I kept thinking maybe I got a bad pack, so I opened another just to be sure, but it tasted the same. I also double checked the appearance and it does match the product photo, so the issue for me really comes down to the flavor. Up until now I have had really good experiences with this brand, so this one was disappointing. I am not sure if I will try other flavors of this particular product after this one, but I am glad I gave it a chance. Everyone’s taste is different, but this one just did not work for me.

No Lemon Flavor
These are a nice snack size, are crispy and individually wrapped. For those reasons, these are a good lunch box snack choice. Unfortunately, for my needs, they have very little lemon flavor. Very little. They just taste sweet. I won't buy them again. I have no littles to gift them to, so the rest in box were trashed.
