IvankoCL-1/4 Standard 1-1/16" Compression Ring Collars (PAIR) for 1" & 1-1/16" bars NOT FOR OLYMPIC (50mm/2") BARS!

The Ivanko CL-1/4 Standard collars are heavy good quality collars that do what they were designed to do and fasten securely to the bar. However one thing does need to be pointed out. Despite the description that they fit both 1" & 1-1/16" Bars they definitely do not work well on 1" bars as they as simply too big to properly secure to the bar.

I liked the fact that they adjusted as needed and we’re still available at Amazon which was very convenient.

I WISH these had worked on the 1 inch bar I bought them for because these are high quality barbell clamps but unfortunately they didn't fit the bar. I tightened them as far as they would go and they were still loose on the bar. The description should not say they fit 1 inch bars. These may be better suited for a 1.15 inch bar but definitely not a 1 inch bar.

Hard to use, don't stay on well, constantly coming loose, and the act of tightening them pushes them away from the plates, so the plates shift as you lift, which then causes them to come loose faster. I'm using 80-100lbs per dumbbell and these are loose after EVERY set.I've had them fail completely several times with the weights crashing to the floor during dumbbell bench press. That was very scary, but I wasn't hurt thankfully. I've now taken to using a hammer to get them as tight as possible and that has not happened again - but they are still loose after every set. I'm looking for alternatives.

These work. They do what they[re designed to do: lock down your weights and don't slip or break.

Collars do not properly tighten though they are advertised as being the correct dimension for the bar I ordered.

This collar is sturdy, heavy duty, and clamps tightly around my standard .97 inch diameter bar, contrary to the apparent experience of other reviewers. A+ product!
