Amplifies lows, but not highs. Not brown like picture
Updated. I compared these against Oticon and these are not even close to real hearing aids:* Does not enhance high frequencies, which is what most people with mild to moderate hearing loss need. With real hearing aids, I can hear birds outside. I cannot with these.* Volume control does require using the tiny screwdriver and good eyesight or glasses.* It does not seem to have very strong noise cancellation.* Is very uncomfortable after just a few minutes. I tried different sized domes.* The picture In the product description shows a much darker brown hearing aid. It is not close to brown.

Good for what they are ...
Got these as a cheap way to introduce my father in law to the world of hearing aids. They essentially are just noise amplifiers vs having more sophisticated and expensive tech. We wanted to see if he was comfortable wearing something in his ear and this was a cheap and easy way to determine that a more professional solution that includes therapy and better tech might be a better fit for his needs. With these he felt overwhelmed since everything just seemed louder ... not just being able to hear his videos on the phone or conversations... but also the trash truck outside for instance. That's not a criticism... but just setting expectations for anyone in a similar situation trying hearing aid options for the first time and wondering why some will cost thousands more.

Not Greatest
For an amplifier this worked pretty well for the first couple of weeks. After that I began having intermittent failures and could not hear at all unless constantly readjusting. When it works it works pretty well for the price, otherwise had too many problems and needed to return because it did not work all the time.

Good sound and balanced.
One side didn't work.

Poor Sound Quality
Concept of in-ear audio devices that are rechargeable with volume settings is excellent. However, sound quality produced is very poor, "static-sounding" as if from very cheap radio speakers. Also, magnifies "internal" sounds of breathing, and heartbeat while muffling and making exterior sounds unclear. I'll be returning them as a Chinese 'novelty' that doesn't compare to quality hearing aids.

Hearing aides
This product is ok in my opinion. I’ve just got to get used to wearing them and adjusting the volume to what I need
