Excellent Lens, impressive build and image quality.
This is an excellent lens. There are some slight issues with some very minor barrel distortion and soft corners but overall this has excellent center sharpness consistent through the zoom range. The image stabilization is excellent for those long shots. The build quality is by far better than anything I have used before. Its quite heavy but solid. The MF/AF, Lock & OS switches are solid and overall its a very impressive lens. Very happy with my purchase.

Great variable lens.
Excellent quality , covers a really wide range of requirements and gives an excellent image. Excellent value for money for this quality of lens.

and therefore easily portable as a useful all-purpose lens
Light, and therefore easily portable as a useful all-purpose lens. Despite some briliant reviews, its long-lens performance isn't as dazzling as I expected, but maybe I haven't yet mastered the settings for it to do its best. A nice lens, especially at the price.

Good Lens but not eligible for 3 year warranty from Sigma
Good quality build, lens has the latest firmware so didn't need to update it with the dock, compared to other lenses seems a bit stiff when adjusting the lens from 18-300 maybe it will improve with use. Big downside is that even from Amazon themselves the product doesn't seems to have been sourced through Sigma UK and so the 3 year extended warranty isn't available nor the free macro lens. Amazon would only say they sourced genuine products so most likely European sourced. WEX Photography supply the Sigma UK supplied lens for £336 but found out after my lens arrived

Great but not supported by Sigma
All the positive reviews of this lens stand and reflect my experience. I love it.BUT be warned that Sigma offer a three year extended warranty for free for their lenses and when you try to register this Amazon supplied lens, they say it only applies to UK Sigma stock and these are grey imports. The price is lower than official stockists and I suppose the value of a three year warranty plays into your decision making but when you buy in The UK from a company called Amazon UK, you should expect UK products when they don't mention otherwise.I didn't send it back, as I should have done as I thought the extra cost via a Sigma dealer makes the extended warranty expensive and as I said at the top of this review, the lens is great.I fitted it to my Nikon Z50 via the FTZ adapter. The quality is good, little pincushion or barrelling, although not non existent as this is a superzoom lens. It is 18-300mm but if you treat it as 20-250mm, just avoiding the very extents, then you get sharp images. It isn't a very fast lens when zoomed in, F/6.3 being a little dark, but shooting in raw with a decent camera compensates to a large extent.it isn't light, especially when attached to a very light mirrorless camera, but is perfectly manageable. The weight of course assists the anti shake features anyway. I found zoomed in images too be clear with the anti shake, and talking the same shot without it, hand held, shows you that it does its job admirably.Manual focus works well, the ring doesn't have much travel but allows precise focusing. I found the auto focus to be reasonable on my camera, although if you mount it on a Nikon DSLR rather than a Z mirrorless plus FTZ adapter, it should be even quicker. It is my go to lens most days now as the zoom range is one I can trust for most situations. I'm not a professional photographer and use it mainly for hobby level landscapes and wildlife.

Good value for money lens.
Fitted to my Nikon D5000. Only been able to use it a small amount so far, but it seems good. Results seem quite good. Would recommend as good value for money.

Good lens
Ideal as a 'standard' lens for a nikon d3300, only time I would need anything else is for either car shows, need a wider angle (10 - 24mm seems to work well) to get close to cars or real long distance photography (got a 150 - 600 mm for that).

The lens compatability tool doesnt work
On the Amazon ordering page there was a button to add your Camera make and model and then it tells you whether it is compatible. I did this and it turned green with a tick and said yes, this will fit! Hooray. However when the lens arrived it did not fit without first purchasing a £200 adaptor! Although Amazon were great and I could have returned the lens easily, this was the one I wanted so I had to go ahead and buy the adaptor so instead of £369 it cost me £569!. Not tried the lens yet as the adaptor has not yet arrived.
