It does give a very good gasket seal.
I did not like the frightening dangers that it could cause cancer, remarks on the tube.

Quality and price.
Great for doing transmission fluid change. Put thin coat of this on the clean metal pan and apply the gasket on top. Replace pan. Never had a leak. Great sealant.
