Hobonichi Techo Accessories Tomitaro Makino: Hobonichi Pencil Board for A6 Size (Tomitaro Makino)

I absolutely love Hobonichi products. I tried a pencil board with my first Hobonichi Techo in 2017 and have purchased one every year ever since. The images are so beautiful on this one. I haven't taken it out of the plastic yet, but when I do, I will be precious with it at first. They are pretty sturdy and the images have not worn off on my other pencil boards. They do get inky depending on the pen that you use, but that has to do with the writing utensil and user impatience. : )

Before getting this I was using a thin piece of cardboard from a figurine box as backing, but that felt clunky and just not as smooth to write on. There's other pencil boards but this one is pretty to look at and nice to write on with different types of pens. Mine arrived with a slight bent, the kind that is only visibly noticeable on the back side as a little line, but the board itself is straight/not bent. Sort of like when you gently fold paper and then straight it out entirely so no bumps or anything, but the line remains.Writing with it doesn't leave any indents on it either, which was my worry when someone compared it to a manilla envelope or cardstock paper.

I haven’t quite figured out the purpose of pencil boards. But! That won’t stop me from buying this gorgeous one - especially because I’m obsessed with this artist collab from hobonichi. I keep it tucked in the front cover of my weeks mega and sometimes use it as a straight edge. Mainly it’s pretty

An absolute must for Hobinachi planners!

I like this for my Hobonichi weeks planner. Its definitely not a must have but if you want to splurge why not.

Was a bit surprised - maybe I didn’t read the description thoroughly enough, but I thought it was going to be acrylic or maybe at the very least something short of durable cardboard. It’s very thin and maybe the equivalent of Manila folder material (maybe a smidge less sturdy). It bends easily so be careful how you store it. Would definitely recommend waiting till it’s on sale.

Love this. The print is adorable and it truly helps with the writing surface. It also looks cute with the "today" marker sticking out of the top.

I purchased this for the design. I like the flower diagrams and they match the Hoshinso cover. It is just like all of hobonichi’s other pencil boards in a6 size. I noticed that the price is triple the cost on the official Hobonichi website, but it is often unavailable to buy there.
