I have had my new computer for a couple days now, but first I want to share what happened. I Purchased my computer as a same-day delivery. it was a fast delivery and came as expected. I was excited to get it. I took everything out of the packaging and followed all the instructions. When it came to connecting to the Internet I had issues. I followed the instructions on how to fix it it’s still wouldn’t connect I had to other devices that were connected to the Internet with no issues. so at this point, I called the number given in case there was connection problems. It was an automated machine asking for the SNID number. I put that number in and the automated system said that this product was no longer under warranty. Of course, my first thought was what the hell I just got it today. So at this point, I spoke to a live person who transferred me to the company, ACER. I spoke with a very nice gentleman, and gave him the SN ID number as well as the serial number. Come to find out the computer warranty expired in 2019. This was a refurbished device that sold as new. It was counterfeit. To no fault of Amazon. I was told to call Amazon back as he was unable to transfer me and once again, I explained my story. The customer service rep was named Rocky and he was absolutely awesome. He was very apologetic and said I was handling it well he gave me some options and I chose to have it replaced, I received a new computer the following day by 7:15 in the morning . I’m sharing this as I want people to be aware that this can happen and of course it happens to me. Amazon customer service was awesome. Now, for my review, I had my old computer for years and years, which was a dell. This new computer is fast and I really like it so far. The only thing I don’t care for is the screen is not as bright as my dell was. It’s very lightweight and will be perfect for what I use it for. The sound volume is fine. I basically bought a new one due to the fact windows 7 was on its way out, I needed an upgrade. So far I’m happy with my purchase.

An excellent purchase for my studies—super nice and spacious, with all the features I need for studying: a large, crisp screen and a beautiful keyboard that meets all the requirements. It is an excellent tool for anyone looking to study.

My second ever Acer laptop. I had a small one in my younger years, and that thing struggle quite a long. This laptop is pretty much better in all it’s way, but that because of today technology. Honestly speaking, this laptop isn’t that great, but it’s good enough for what I need it for, which is good enough for me. For $300, and even less on sales. You can do some light office/college/business work, light browsing, and very very light gaming on low setting. Unless it’s an old MMO, you could probably get away with medium or higher, but don’t expect much. This thing may have “8” gb ram, but in honesty. You’re probably going to have around 3.5-4gb ram free, as window system will eat majority of it. My biggest complaint is that you can’t upgrade the ram, it’s sadly soldered on. Unlike the storage, which is upgradable, but do know you’ll have to reinstall window. The casing feels “light”, very light, enough to where to I don’t want to apply too much pressure as it might deform or bent it in a way, maybe cheap material. The display is….. uh do able? It’s very dim and the color is like off, very off, don’t expect to do any artsy stuff with correct colors. As for battery, it leaves a lot to be desire. Depending on what you’re doing you could be around 2-7hr battery life, so make sure to always keep it plugged in. The keyboard is fine, it’s nice to have a laptop with the side pad, it’s something I use for when I do light gaming. Other than, it’s a pretty all rounder budget laptop for a cheap price. Worth it for my use case, as I already have a gaming PC and a Steam Deck.

If you were like me, looking for a college laptop that would not break the bank, look no further. I am literally writing this review on this laptop in class. I just wanted a (Windows) laptop that I can code on and do a couple assignments while on campus. I never have to worry about the battery dying on me unless it was already really low. It is surprisingly fast but obviously not as fast as a $2000 laptop. Fast enough I would say. Right out of the box, I was instantly very surprised at how good quality everything felt and looked. It is actually pretty large in size but not cumbersome. But as I keep using it I do have some nitpicks about it: - The screen portion is pretty bendable to the point where I feel like you can easily break it. Now I don't know who would do that on purpose but you should watch out. - No backlight on keyboard makes it hard to see keys in low light. - Keyboard feels sort of hollow. Probably because it is cheap. - Fan is noticeably loud, say if the class is quiet. But I do prefer it to be cool and be a little bit loud than it be hot. - Fan ramps up randomly. Like I could have a simple assignment up with 2 tabs open and it could kick on for some reason even though the workload is not much. Then other times I have a bunch of tabs and another application open but it will stay silent. Other than that it is perfect if you need a cheap laptop to get some work done at school or code like me. Definitely recommend.

If I could give a 0 I would. The warranty expired end of January 2026. The laptop crashed a few weeks later in March. I spent some time on the phone with Acer rep leading me through steps to get it working again. Long story short I had to fed ex the laptop to Acer for repair. I received an email from Acer repair saying they received the laptop. No further correspondence from them after seven days. I had an Acer for around nine years before this one that was a great laptop so decided to go with Acer again. The keyboard description on this one said that it had a backlit keyboard. I also asked Rufus about the keyboard and the reply was that it did have one and received instructions on how to turn it on. It does not have a backlit keyboard and some of the other features/specs aren't the same. I was given a small refund on the purchase price if I agreed not to return it. BIG MISTAKE on my part. The keys on the keyboard are so close together that it is uncomfortable and my fingers often do not hit the correct keys. My hands are not large. The SOUND IS HORRIBLE.. I uninstalled the sound drivers and reinstalled and checked for updates but that made no difference. In order to hear anything I need to be up really really close to it. Since I use it to stream videos/music online almost every day, I am very disappointed in the sound. Set up was easy. Quality of laptop is not great and I doubt it will hold up for long. In my opinion this laptop is one that may be more compatible with young people as their first laptop considering the size of the keyboard. In hindsight I would not have accepted the discount I was given to keep this laptop which was not the one that was described and that I thought I was buying. The transaction and seller seem deceptive. I am without a laptop now. I will never order electronics from Amazon again.

I bought this halfway through college, and it has been almost 5 years now. I’m happy to say this thing is still fast and continues to do everything I need it to do. The battery life has held up surprisingly well, and I honestly barely notice a difference compared to when I first bought it. I don’t use it every day like I did during college, so it has had more time to rest, but even after years of use and keeping everything updated, it still performs great. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. For the price I paid, this has been a reliable device that has lasted much longer than I expected.

I truly do love my Acer aspire 3 laptop! It has made all the difference in helping my workflow as well as ease using it. I found it affordable, very user friendly and an asset for me overall. Plus the best thing no wires to deal with unless I want to purposely hook something up to it 💯

Tiene un rendimiento muy muy bueno, no se ha trabado para absolutamente nada, ahora quien se ha quedado lento es mi internet jaja, su calidad en todo sentido es excelente, lo que no me agrada del todo es su cargador, pero, sin duda es lo mejor para el precio, sobretodo aquí en México que para ese precio te ofrecen laptops con calidad horrible, de verdad que la volvería a encargar de nuevo, no se calienta, estéticamente es preciosa, su procesador es de lo mejores, la memoria sí que no es grande pero a la vez siento que está bien para que el procesador pueda rendir de la mejor manera, igual ya existen los discos duros, así que no hay pierde, si quieren algo de excelente calidad, estéticamente precioso y con un precio bajo, es la mejor opción ya que cuenta con prácticamente todo lo necesario casi para hacer cualquier cosa, no tuve tampoco ningún problema con el envío ni nada, la trajeron de Estados Unidos a México y todo muy bien (dato: la cámara también está preciosa cuando hay buena iluminación y el audio es muy bueno, no muy alto pero sí mucho mejor que el de mi laptop pasada sin duda).

This isn't a gaming computer, but if you're just using it to do your taxes or email, reports or word doc's, its a great machine. It has more memory than you will ever use for these purposes. But it is inexpensive and doesn't have the great video and sound cards that you need for gaming. Its a decent personal computer. Would recommend.
