Please could anyone tell me the dimensions of the inside of the box? can’t find this info anywhere?

The inside is not a perfect box. ie the photo does not show all the detail (protrutions). as a very rough measurement inside of the box is 2" wide 2 1/2" long And 2" deep. if you are considering using it as intended it will take a few fine necklaces and rings. you will struggle to get a mans watch inside. Saying that, if this is your first u gears model you will not be dissapointed. these are very fine quality bits of kit. totally recommend.

Would this be suitable for a 14 year old boy to complete? He is not crafty at all, but has a collection of puzzle boxes.

Yes. It's intricate but doesn't require any particular craft skills, just patience and a delicate touch. The pieces are laser cut and come as flat pack sheets and you just need to detach them from the sheet. No glue is needed. A small, sharp craft knife is useful to separate the pieces from the sheet but other than that no tools are necessary. I've given these as presents to people of both genders and all ages and all have enjoyed making them. If he's into puzzle boxes, he will almost certainly love making his own.
