I bought this to use with my 3-year-old daughter's car seat on a 16-hour drive. The first part of the trip it worked really well. She colored, played with her toys, and ate her snacks on it. I loved the cup holder was on top and that it actually sat down inside the tray as opposed to just a strap holding it or even on the side like in others I considered. During the car trip, my daughter was tired of having it in her lap. So we took it off. I was able to do this as the passenger in the car going down the road. I just unloosened the strap and she slipped it down where it wasn't in her lap, but hanging by her feet now, which appeased her. The problem came when she was ready to color or play again. We had stopped off to stretch. When loading back up and tightening the strap, it caused the navy blue part of the tray to rip away from the green part of the tray on both sides. It still functions and I hope to maybe be able to repair it myself, but wished it would have lasted longer than it did. I just really think no harder than I tugged on the strap it shouldn't have ripped. I was not being overly forceful with it. But overall it did exactly what I needed it to.****Update to review: The company went above and beyond to try and correct the problem. I was just stating our experience and providing feedback so that if they deemed it necessary they could look into the issue. Not only did they contact me and say they sent our review and pictures to their quality department, they sent us a replacement product. It is great to know that they actually appreciate their customers, they read their reviews, and attempt to correct any issues with their product. Amazing customer services goes a long way. Would absolutely purchase another product from this company for that reason alone.

My daughter plays on the tray as soon as we get on the car, sometimes color books, food or watching paw patrol and other shows on ipad.I can notice a cleaner floor in the back of my car now that she can eat her snacks and use the cup holder as well. HUGE PLUS for ME!!She likes to color books in car so it is safer for me as I don't have to drive and reach back when crayons fall on the floor.The tray is large enough to have an open book or multiple toys in the same surface. Very Spacious.I really like the side pockets so she can leave crayons, toys and food on the side when we get off and back on the car. Sure is durable, my 4 year old is a little destroyer! so this has a good life time.Some parent friends asking for it when we meet at school or other parties, great purchase, great Xmas gift, any parent should be able to appreciate! :-)

Great product, but as soon as I unpacked it, the strong smell of cigarette smoke was almost unbearable. The 3 stars is for the company. Other people have complained of this, and they obviously don’t care enough to fix it. It is completely disgusting! Takes DAYS of airing it out outside to even begin to get the smell out. If you need to use this immediately, buy something else. If you don’t want your car (or your child, for that matter) smelling like nasty stale cigarettes, buy something else! So disappointed. I really thought the company would have fixed this problem when I read the older reviews. What a shame. I recommended this project to my Stroller Moms group (100+ women). I already notified the entire group retracting my recommendation.UPDATE: company sent me a new tray for free. While this is much appreciated, this one also smells like smoke. It’s not as prevalent as the first, but it’s there. They need to realize that non- smokers can smell smoke easily! Great customer service. They just need to figure out where the smoke smell is coming from and fix it.

Was excited when I received this item, tray itself is nice and strong but when I went to unsnap the side where markers or color pencils were gonna go I heard a rip. I thought I had pulled it too hard so I unsnapped the other side with no problem. So the stitching was just I guess weak on one side unfortunately. I guess I'm only gonna use one side for color pencils and markers*Update* After the post that I was sad about the rip on the flap on the travel tray, I got an email pretty quick from the ones on charge of Kids Charter apologizing and right away sent a replacement travel tray. When I got the new tray everything was good on it, no faulty stitching and will work for my daughter when we have our long trip coming up real soon. Great product and even greater customer service!! From a three star I will definitely give a five star, thanks again!!

The tray worked perfectly for my 2 yo on an 8 hour car ride. She was able to easily color and eat while on the road. The only thing I don't like about the product is the smell. It is STRONG and washing it didn't get it out; only transferred it to the machine! A couple rounds of cleaner and bleach have diminished it so it is no longer transferring to our clothes. I'm hoping over time and with some fresh air the smell will go away.UPDATE - The Seller reached out shortly after my review was posted and apologized for the smell. They sent me a new product that I just received. Unfortunately, it smells as well BUT it is not as strong as the original product I received. I've updated my stars to reflect their great customer service. I would recommend this product - just don't wash it in your washing machine ;)

It will do. Smells strongly of cigarettes (I think). They are airing out on the porch as we speak. The zipper pouches on the sides unzip themselves if any pressure is put on them. To actually use them, I'll probably have to safety pin it to stay on. I reviewed all the tray tables and decided on this one. I regret my decision, but I want them for our beach trip in a week so I will deal with these.

Used it on a 18+ hr road trip and it was awesome. We didn’t even need to buckle it around our 3 year old, it sat stable on her lap and car seat. Which made it easy to take on and off for her while reaching back from the front seat. I researched and read a lot of reviews for trays like this before purchasing and I’m glad we got this one.
