Merrell All Out Terra Turf, Men’s Low-Top Sneakers

Note: I always go a half size or size up with Merrell, and I don't consider myself to have particularly wide feet.I've been a Merrell wearer for about 10 years and I've had varying degrees of luck with their shoes. This is my first pair in a while and it was bought for use in a light removals job where grip, lightness, and comfort are paramount.It's a slightly confusing shoe as the sole is almost like a fell-running sole, while the upper is town-friendly. In my experience, soles designed for the great outdoors frequently wear out quickly when used on pavements and roads. The grip is solid on the wet and they're very comfy.They aren't very waterproof, but they do dry out quickly, so that's fine.Overall, decent, but I'm waiting to see how long they last in town.

Came earlier than expected (bonus) and was packaged fine, but not original box, and no spare laces as you would with Merrell boxes. Fit is very good, I'd refer to Merrell's website for exact fit, measure your own foot in cm's or inches, and match to the corresponding size. I'm a 27.5 cm foot size, so a EU 44/size 9 was just right. Little bit of wiggle room at the top, laces are great. The suede is grabby, they will dirty easily, and my pair had excess glue marks where the Vibram sole was glued on. And breathability is a minor issue. But a very good shoe. Saloman and Adidas Terrex are other options.

Nice lightweight but rugged shoes. 4 stars due to merrell not being able to fall in line with the rest of the world on shoe sizes.**Update and down to 1 starI have to say these are the worst soles I've ever had. Wear them in the wet and be prepared to take your life in your hands. Better off walking in a pair of leather soled brogues . Pretty shocking Merrell. These are now relegated to dry days only!

Really like this shoe. However, the soles are very slippery, especially on wet surfaces. You need to be really careful if you're expecting good grip out of these.

Not bad for the price. The sizing is all over the place. I take a 9/9.5 UK but after reading the reviews I opted for a 10.5 which is just about right but I can't wear thick boot socks but I bought them for summer wear so thinner socks will give a little wriggle room. V comfy and do not need breaking in.

Added brown elastic laces and after that it's a perfect shoe apart from when it is wet and you walk on slippy tiles or metal drains. But that is to be expected as that is not what they are designed for.

Very good. Comfortable although a little irritating to drive in as the sole is very sticky, but that is clearly a personal issue :)Not done any walking in them yet so cant really comment on that aspect.

I have merrells shoes for the last 8 years, many models, always was I need a size 12.5 and I have never had a problem with the size, this time it seems to be an inch too small.
