Best Tripod I’ve ever owned
Best Tripod I’ve ever owned, really sturdy and lightweight. The ball head of the X-III feels better than the X-I Version. And, last but not least, the locking mechanism is super easy to lock/unlock the legs with a couple twists.

My best travel tripod
Pretty solid for my use case so far. It is light and easy to bring. It opens quickly, and closes even quicker. The head adjusts quickly and solid once locked, definitely much better than my other travel tripod (a Manfrotto). The only drawback for the open/close mechanism is you kinda have to grab on to the dirty bottom to close it quickly. I can grab the bottom w 2 fingers, but my 2 fingers are not strong enough to snap turn quickly. All in all, the best travel tripod I have so far!!

Pretty good, great for the price.
Nice tripod so far, when everything is still. Wobbly fully extended to the point that it’s unusable unless weighted down, but much moreStable when partially extended. Nice and compact and light. Perfect for whenYou want reallyCompact but need more than 16” in height. Very good for shooting close to the ground. The head is surprisingly good for the size and weight. Can handle my full frame and a 50-400mm lens/w collar.

Super lightweight
This is a great and compact little tripod. I do like the design of the one twist locking leg system. It holds very steady and you can't beat off how light it is. I got this tripod over similar ones because of how small the diameter is when it's folded down.

Great travel tripod
It is very light after I change the video head to a small 25mm ball head, totaling up to 850g. The ball head is way better for photography, the video head is now sitting in my drawer. The included video head though nice from the outside is a bit of a let down as the locking mechanism is not the clutch system but a sharp pin screw that bites into the rotating tilt mechanism to hold it in place. Over time there will be many holes on the aluminium piece. The twist mechanism for the legs are easy to use and I can also lock individual section by twisting them separately. Just make sure to twist it tight to avoid any disaster. The tripod is so light there is no excuse not bring it out.The only minor issue I have is the include case even though nicely made does not fit the tripod when it is in the proper flip up position. You have to flip it into the storage position which is shorter in order to fit into the case. So if you flip the legs out to the action ready position you have to hand carry the tripod or find another bag that is longer to fit it. The bag is only useful for general transport purpose but not useful for actual field use.

If you’re looking, you should probably just get it
Let’s be honest. Tripods aren’t the fanciest, flashiest things, and this one is no different. there’s other options that weigh less, cost more, are taller, are shorter. But if you’re looking for a SUPER small tripod that sets up easily, this is it.Things that I love:It sets up SO quick. This is my go-to tripod for content creation now, just because of how fast it sets up. It’s always awkward filming in public, so being able to set up, get the shot, and get out is a HUGE benefit. It actually holds the weight of my DSLR/Mirrorless cameras unlike some other cheaper travel tripods. This thing is LIGHT. Like crazy light. The heaviest part is the head (which you might want to replace anyways, more later).Things that I… don’t love:It’s 2025 now and everyone has a knockoff of the PD quick release plate. I didn’t realize how annoying it is to manually tighten down a tripod mount until i had to do it again. The head is also just kind of heavy and big in general. You can find a replacement head that is both smaller and has a PD quick release plate, which actually lets the legs fold in a little bit more. It’s a weird design choice overall. The leg locking mechanisms are FAST, but they’re also quirky. It takes some getting used to, and when you haven’t used it in a while you end up not extending a leg all the way or not locking one all the way.Overall, if you’re on the fence about picking up this tripod, you won’t regret adding it to your kit. You might not use it EVERY time, but for the price it will fit a role that no other tripod can fill quite the same way. For that reason, it gets a 5/5 in my book every day.

Great tripod, head could be a bit lighter. Traveler X III
I ordered the Traveler X IIII think it must be a new model because it seems like some of the reviews are for the other models. I think some of the complaints are about the old tripod head and this one comes with the BG 40.Overall, it works great. The legs are nice and sturdy and easy to operate. I’m using this with a DSLR with a big lens and it feels fine.Attaching images with actual weights, I may end up finding a lighter head for backpacking as the BG-40 is around a half a pound. See images for weight and measurements (note the leg picture is without the head on it… so you have to add the two weights together to see the total amount)Legs 662gHead 235gTotal 897g

BEWARE: The head negates the good of the tripod.
Edit 3: I bought a new head and, honestly, now it’s top notch. Check out Neewer. It really made for a simple, stable setup. The shame here is, for this price (of the product you’re looking at) they could have easily a made similar (ball or not) head. My image reflects my most recent and up to date state of the setup, without their head on it.Edit: company reached out and offered to replace the head (which is fundamentally flawed) or give me %5 of the cost refunded. This shows me how much they value the head of this thing. I’d rate it at zero stars at this point. I’ve learned from my mistake.Beware the "fluid head". It’s a light tripod, and the quick deploy is brilliant. The killer for me, and the reason I dont use it, is the head is just terrible. The QL tightening screw is so close to the adapter, both my X-T5 and X-H2, when mounted, I need a tool to get to the tightening knob. This is foundational to setup and is wildly frustrating. Pair that with jerky up/down range of motion, and like many others said: it needs a different head. I'd return this if it didnt pass the allowed time already.
