I had just a simple combination knob lock on a door at my rental that gets lots of traffic that it's easy to forget to lock but with the spring mechanics of the door it usually shuts on its own causing the latch bolt to lock by design then to unlock requires a entering the code. Because of that the deadbolt above that knob hardly gets locked until the knob started malfunctioning. I was in hurry to solve so my mind went to work for alternative solutions to what I wanted and maybe even making it better. That's when I came across the Lockin and keypad for it. This time instead of the knob locking which was just a latch bolt it's now the deadbolt above it that's locking making it stronger more secure. I was so happy that my order was quickly delivered that my problem was solved in 24 hours.I replaced the malfunctioning knob with just a simple lever to be able to turn and pull and I kept the existing deadbolt with the back of it replaced by the Lockin lock. The keypad is now where the code is entered to get the deadbolt to unlock and simply grabbing the lever knob opens the door.I love how the deadbolt can still be opened by its existing key, but there's the keypad where the code can be entered, or a fingerprint can be read (this feature I didn't setup yet). A main feature I'm liking is enabling of auto locking so now when the door automatically shuts and isn't locked, a few seconds it will lock (delay time is adjustable). I also like the status and log you can view with the phone app to see how it's doing and its use. With the app I can also lock & unlock even when I'm not there and set another (or even a temporary) code for someone else to use if they just want to drop by.There's still more features but I'm good for now replacing the setup I had before with something better & smarter.

Although setup is not difficult, there is one point that, in my opinion, individuals can miss if they're not paying attention. The pivot point of the lock must be in the middle of the plastic adapter that goes on it. If not, every time you attempt to open or close the lock, the adapter will come off or possibly break. Therefore, the optimal place to place your Switchbot lock will depend on where its pivot point is. My lock's pivot point is near the bottom end of the lever, thus I had to position mine to the side.But aside from that, setup was hardly a hassle. The automatic lock option will probably be my favorite. Probably the primary factor in my decision to buy this gadget. Peace of mind knowing that the door will lock on its own means I won't need to rush back to my apartment if I leave and either forget to lock it or believe I did.I can use the fingerprint scanner while transporting my bike as well. I don't fumble around for my keys. But when using the lockin home app paired with the Alexa skill I have so many options for locking and unlocking.

Die Installation ist ziemlich einfach, die App übersichtlich und die Konfiguration ist auch simpel. Das Schloss hat eine gute Haptik. Habe einen Tag später noch das Tastelfeld dazu geordert und installiert. Mit dem Fingerscanner ist man in zwei Sekunden in der Wohnung. Alles funktioniert hervorragend. Das man den Batterie- Füllstand in der App einsehen kann ist sehr praktisch. Die Batterien lassen sich einfach und schnell wechseln.Das ganze System gefällt mir sehr gut und der Preis ist unschlagbar günstig.5 Sterne gehen absolut in Ordnung...

Wir haben uns dieses Schluss geholt für die hintere Eingangstür für Besuch, das ggf. früher ankommt als man selber. Alles soweit O.K. funktioniert sehr gut.Welcher smarte Taster ist kompatibel um die Tür von innnen zu öffnen ohne das Drehdings nutzen zu müssen? Oder hat der Knopf schon die Funktion? Wenn ja, wie?

Hat etwas gedauert bis ich es mit dem Schloss in Verbindung gebracht habe, hat dann jedoch super funktioniert. Braucht manchmal etwas bis es den Fingerabdruck richtig erkennt aber für den Preis völlig OK.
