This product is very well made and has all the tools you need to be set up for success. I’m extremely satisfied that it has all the accessories you need to complete a project such as safety gloves and sanding paper. That alone saves you a trip to the hardware store. It also includes a handheld glass cutter that enables you to create more projects depending on your skill level. I don’t have a lot of experience with glass bottle cutting but the design of this cutter is very user friendly that I was able to figure it out. The board grips the table well and doesn’t move when you roll the bottle so it gives you a straight score line all around. The backstop is firm and sturdy. Very simple to use. Simply set up the backstop to hold the bottle in place, apply even pressure and rotate to make a light score line around the bottle. After that, it is up to you and science to get a clean cut. This will take some learning curve but the product itself has worked as designed which is to give you a nice, light score line. So look up youtube tutorials for the best ways to heat/cool the score line for that nice clean cut and don’t blame the tool! If you’re a DIYer, you will love this product. So many project ideas you can do and a great way to repurpose old bottles.

I like to grow my own spices in my apartment, and because I am away a lot with my job, I don't always get to wet them, so they usually died. I searched for a fix for this and found on the internet an article on how to use a bottle cutter to cut wine bottles and then use them for plants so that they can take how much water they need on their own, without the need for you to keep taking care of them every day. I bought this glass bottle cutter tool for this project and I am very pleased with it. I've been able to cut the bottles easily, the cutting machine works very well and easy, and also the video tutorial they provide was a great help. The project was a success, I moved the plants inside the wine bottles I cut with the cutting device and it works very well. They now take their own water and I couldn't be more happier with the choice I made! Loved the bottle cutter product.

If you are just starting out your bottle cutting journey, I definitely recommend this bottle cutter. It has alot of pros and some cons, but overall it's a very good bottle cutter. Pros: -Super easy to set up and use -Easy to adjust the length needed -Comes with sturdy protection gloves, cutting pen and a piece of sand paper. -Makes a very smooth and straight score line which leads to a smooth and even cut nearly every time! -Pretty fool proof -This bottle cutter is very strong and sturdy! It is absolutely built to last. Cons: -There is about in inch gap between the metal brace facing forward vs. Facing backward. So there were a few times where I couldn't cut where I wanted to. I could either cut a lot lower then I wanted or turn the brace around and cut a lot higher then i wanted. All in all this only happened maybe 5 out of 30 times though, so not very often. - The blade doesn't rotate horizontally with the bottle cutter, only vertically. Making cutting at the angle or neck of the bottle very difficult or impossible. For this reason I didn't have any success cutting beer bottles where I wanted. (At the angle, where the bottle starts to curve in wards before becoming the neck) I would have LOVED to learn how to cut bottles on this bottle cutter. It makes the whole process so incredibly easy and straight forward. As a seasoned bottle cutter myself, this cutter didn't have some features that I like to use though. I would love to see some additional attachments available for this bottle cutter! It could easily become my favorite and main bottle cutter with some additional attachments to use. This is my main bottle cutter for WINE bottles because to do love how easy it is to get that perfect score line every time. Although beer and liquor bottles get cut on another cutter, just because I like to make more difficult and unique cuts on those requiring those attachment pieces.

I knew I would need to practice a time or two and not use my favorite bottles first. I had watched a couple of videos before using the glass cutter, but after one try it became clear I needed to do some more research. In a nutshell, the tool works very well - just as I had expected it to - with only two exceptions. Read below for those. The ancillary materials are sorely lacking, in my opinion. Keep reading for some details and tricks that worked for me if you are a newbie glass bottle cutter. It is fun and though my husband tells me drinking glasses from wine bottles went out with tie-dye, I know better. People still make and wear tie-dye, and people still like drinking glasses made from wine bottles. Tool exceptions: 1) the nut that tightens the metal "L" bracket down needs to be tightened down with pliers; this was the problem with my first scoring - the bottle moved because the nut was only hand tightened (and I'm a pretty strong girl). 2) the "L" bracket should either be longer or shorter; when working with a Riesling bottle I could not get the scorer in the position I really wanted it in, no matter which direction I put the bracket. Tricks the ancillary materials don't tell you: 1) the hot water, cold water routine is extremely time consuming and not terribly effective - the hot bottle warms the cold water and the cold bottle cools the hot water. If you have to go back and forth any number of times your water is no longer at effectively extreme temperatures. WHAT WORKS BETTER? Slowly and closely turning your scored bottle over a candle flame and then rubbing an ice cube over it. A couple bottles only needed once of each treatment, others required a few of each, but it worked like a charm. (Maybe the manufacturer didn't want to suggest using an open flame? At any rate, you have to practice caution while using either method.) 2) the 120 grit sandpaper they enclose is simply not a low enough grit for sanding what is essentially broken glass. The quality of the 120 grit they sent is not very high and even though the sandpaper says it's "waterproof" they don't tell you to wet it. But do. WET IT! But also start with something much grittier, like 80 grit wet/dry. Then move to the 120. If you want your edges to be shiny you'll have to up your game bit by bit ( 80, 120 or 150, 220, 400 - go all the way to 2000 if you want shiny edges). 3) I'm not entirely certain what the "extra parts" included in the box are for. I've only cut a dozen bottles so far, so maybe I'll figure it out once I get to a dozen dozens, but it would have been nice for the manufacturer to tell me from the very beginning rather than keeping me in suspense. 4) the quick-start guide tells you to check out their website for videos. I found one video on YouTube, not their website, and it was somewhat helpful, but I was hoping for more ideas and tips and tricks. Just search YouTube for those, my friends. Unless you're a FaceBook user and have access to their "club." I am not, therefore I do not. Maybe they're awesome.

I was looking for a glass cutter and I came across this bundle. I must say I just love my bottle cutter, it's brilliant. Along with the glass cutter and bottle cutter I got cut resistant gloves and sandpaper. The bottle cutter is awesome, I've had a great time with it. It took around two tries to learn how to cut bottles correctly, and well.. since then I've been making glasses and vases with it like crazy, I even made an ashtray and it came out great. One over the other it's a quality product that surprised me in a pleasant way, very useful too. As for the glass cutter, it cuts fast and easy and I like that you can open the lid to refill it. Some time ago I ordered another model that couldn't be filled, so after it had no more oil it was just no longer any good. This is not the case with this one, you ca remove the lid and refill it with the little tool they give you. I am very excited about my purchase, and I will order again from them for sure.

This is absolute garbage. The blade does not cut the glass deep enough, and when you submerge it in hot water and cold water, it breaks the glass unevenly. Do not waste your money.

Ok so I have an Etsy shop where I sell bottle crafts, and I genuinely think this is an amazing product. I have used just one other bottle cutter (which I got from amazon also) and I could almost never get one continuous etch line even when I pressed pretty hard and repositioned the blade. And I’ve been doing this now for almost two years. With this one from homeproshops I had to put about half the amount of pressure, and my score line was perfect every time. I etched 8 bottles in a row of all different textures and sizes. None of my bottles cracked when I was trying to separate them, when normally probably a little less than half were cracking when I used my previous bottle cutter. Another plus is that it came preassembled and with a pair of gloves. And to change the length of the cut all you have to do is turn a knob. It was so simple and worked so well! This is honestly the simplest tool I think I’ve seen for bottle cutting for beginners. Highly recommend.

This unit is extremely well made and easy to use. On my first attempt, I tried it on a thick bottle. It almost worked but the bottle broke partly on the scored line and the rest on the rest of the bottle, so it was a failed attempt. I think I need more practice to perfect it. But overall, I was happy with the unit.

La première bouteille que j’ai voulu couper, cela n’a pas marché car j’ai fait plusieurs tours , Et c’est une erreur. Plus le trait est fin et continue plus la coupe sera nette et précise. Suite à un visionnage sur YouTube, la personne a Insérer 2 joint de caoutchouc de chaque côté de la rayure pour Concentré, l’eau bouillante sur la Rayure. Donc pour mon deuxième essai, je n’ai fait qu’un seul tour fin. J’ai inséré les 2 Joint en caoutchouc, j’ai fait bouillir de l’eau dans une Bouilloire, et j’ai fait couler un filet d’eau bouillante tout autour de la bouteille entre les deux joints. Faire couler aussitôt L’eau froide du robinet est répété L’opération deux à 3 fois Et cela fonctionne à merveille. Ci-joint photos

Llevo varias botellas que se quiebran, hay que trabajar en el giro y la presión de una botella delgada. Media hora después de girar no logré cortar la botella. Después de agua caliente y fría no pasa nada.
