Is this a perennial product?

no, not in the same sense as a plant. Fungus are different. We create a food source for the mushroom fungus on the compost that we make. It is a complicated scientific process. Once that food source is depleted the kit will no longer produce. Some put it on their home compost pile and see some mushrooms from it when the weather is just right, but they are typically pretty rough looking at that point. We remove competing fungus and force fruit indoors year round. We kick off new crops weekly in order to keep our customers supplied with mushrooms. Your kit would come directly from our beds that are fully colonized. TY

Seller - If the mushrooms fail, will you still honor refund or replacement outside the 30 days? It appears that more than 30 days needed for crop.

I have never seen this question before. I look here at least once a week and it appears this question just showed up as a customer wrote a reply to it today ??? So odd... anyway... I will do my best to answer your question so that it may help others. When you receive the kit there are instructions in the box with it. I have our email address highlighted and stress on the very first page that we are here if there are any questions or concerns along the way. If you read and follow the instructions the kit will grow. The substrate is fully colonized before it leaves our farm. We literally pulled the substrate from our growing trays just before casing that crop (we case a new crop every week). You get the kit at the point that it needs to be cased. It takes 3 weeks to see the first flush of mushrooms coming on once you case the kit. In our policy we state that the buyer should contact us to ask for help if at any time they have a question or concern. If there is anything that we did to the kit to make it not perform this would be visible by 2 1/2 to 3 weeks into the process. We will work with home growers to aid them to get the most out of their kit. Many times we just need to see a picture to be able to tell you what is going on or the home grower needs to tweak temperature and/or humidity. Keep the log (there is a log page in the included instructions) so that when we ask when a particular action was done you can look at your log to let us know. Since the kit comes directly from our own growing trays we know exactly how it should perform. If it ever happens that we have a crop failure... (since we opened in 2004 growing commercially and providing kits locally... it hasn't happened yet)... we will reach out to the home grower to let them know. At that point, we would either send out a replacement kit or give special instructions (sometimes that is all that it takes). We would never leave anyone high and dry. This is a true family farm. There aren't any employees. Between this fact and that we keep logs on each of our crops, we have our hands on every facet and know what each is doing at any given time. We are 100% hands on. As farmers... those that provide food to our community and reaching outward with our kits... our goal is to share our fresh organically grown mushrooms and the experience with others.
