I guess the name kind of gives it away, but this is a nice old-school kind of tool, the kind that you will keep around for a long time, and your grandkid will keep after you die. It's one of those garden tools that just plain works, and you don't really have to think about what you're doing, 'cause it just comes naturally. It's the perfect length to dig with one hand and pick/pull with the other. It lets you get in with precision, instead of using something like a trowel.
