Is this good for packing bearings?

Copper grease for stuff that doesn't move which you don't want to seize up - normal grease for stuff that moves.

According to one of your reviewers,this product shouldnt come into contact with plastic,can i please ask why?

Any petroleum based grease will degrade most plastics and rubbers. You should use a synthetic or silicone based grease for applications where the grease will contact both metals and plastics.

If this stuff has copper in it then in theory I should be able to grease under the lip of plant pots to stop slugs..anyone had any success with this?

it has copper. I did not do this, but you could grease it :D

Can this be used in sds drill gears?

I am led to believe designed for wheel bearings which can get hot. I am pretty sure it can and I just greased up my road breaker with it.
