Amazon Basics Decorative Curtain Holdback, Set of 2, Black

There was nothing I disliked about these, some of the previous comments talk about them looking cheap, I didn't think so. I was looking to find the best match to IKEA's STORSLAGE curtain pole and these came close. Not by any means exactly the same but once in place one doesn't look twice, and at a very good price. I trawled every site for black metal hold backs and these were the best - the width of the actual arm isn't as narrow as any of the others on the market. The four stars is because Amazon need a holdback that is longer - as in holds back more curtain material. If you have been looking as long as I have you will understand what I mean!

I decided to give these a try as the curtains at my bay window have a tendency to block the light at the sides if they are not pulled back. I swapped my tie backs for these and they are perfect for the job. They give a really nice understated finishing touch to the window and I have received lots of positive comments about them. They were easy to fit and look more expensive than they were. I'm really pleased.

The product is very elegant and very easy to set up. All you need is a drill and a screwdriver.I think it looks amazing and keeps the curtains tidy.

good value but if you have wide curtains they are not deep enough

They are suitable for the job, However the supplied screws have a weak head resulting in damage when driving (by hand) into wall/wood. I would recommend using more sturdy screws.

Do not use the screws that come with these - they caused a lot of expletives in our home. The most careful/precise use of screwdriver or drill totally shreds the screws making it impossible to screw in to a good/flush standard. It's a shame as the handles themselves are lightweight, nice finish (no scratches/marks on paintwork) and the fact that the decorative end pieces screw off does help.It wouldn't put me off 'amazon own' products completely but this simple flaw made the installation of these difficult.

Good size and with a solid feel. Admittedly, the enclosed screws were not very good and we changed them for a better quality but overall, a good purchase.

There's nothing bad about them, Its exactly what you pay for and looks great. Can look perhaps a little small depending on your curtains but are perfect for me as I don't want anything fancy. The wall plugs supplied are okay and will do the job but don't really feel like getting a tight grip and gives some wobble room. I would recommend grabbing some rawl plugs.
