Question 1

Do people notice them as I get very self conscious wearing earplugs, plus how good is the sound quality do they take away the loud bass sounds.

Accepted Answer

1. They are very hard to notice (apart from you the wearer, as they are translucent and if someone asks to look down your earhole) - so its a pretty 'stealthy' hearing protection option at gigs, music practice etc. 2. The quality is pretty good, it dampens the general sound down to a safer level (can't remember the exact dB) but it doesn't sacrifice the acoustics, drums, treble or bass etc - so in a nutshell its a great affordable and reusable solution for protecting your hearing at gigs without losing a ton or so of the actual live music.Example - I just got back from seeing Dag Nasty (who were amazing) playing in Glasgow and it was unreal. I had the Downbeats in, I almost forgot they were there as the sound was comfortably loud, yet clear. It does make it hard to converse with other people in between songs etc, but that's probably due to low freq. I also use them for drum practice/gig rehersals and they are great - again just have a harder time hearing when someone talks in a low tone (but at least they work)Summary: They're dead handy and they do the job well. I'd recommend picking a set up.

Question 2

Do you get use to the fullness feeling in your ears when wearing them?

Accepted Answer

I don't find it a problem, wearing these for a couple of hours at a time. They only exert light pressure on my ear canals.

Question 3

Would a hearing aid fit in these box?

Accepted Answer

I suppose it depends on the size of the hearing aid. The internal dimensions of this case are approximately 16mm diameter and 42mm depth

Question 4

Will these protect my hearing from loud music?

Accepted Answer

I'm not a doctor so I can't give a medical opinion but they certainly make everything much quieter without making the music sound bad. Recommended.
