Have a custom home automation device that doesn't need ethernet, but I wanted to power with PoE. I had bought another brand of this item previously, but it failed near immediately, so I picked this brand up instead. Cheap, 30w of power, and works great.

I wasn't paying attention and purchased this to power a mesh AP. The splitter works great and provides consistent power, but the 100mbps limit was a huge bottleneck. If you're running a camera or other simple device this is fine, but pay attention to your bandwidth needs.

Not gigabit. Only 10/100. Not 10/100/1000.

I had gotten it set up along with a POE injector today. I did some testing with a wattage meter to make sure they were negotiating properly and it seems so. I am using a 50 Foot run of ethernet to do it. I am using a AC1750 R6400v2, but I am nearly 100% certain that any router that needs a power input of 12V and 2.5A will work just fine with this splitter. It was very much plug and play.

I am using these to power some Reolink Wi-Fi floodlights. So far they work fine but they are over-priced for what you are getting.

It is providing the right amount of power for my Google Nest Wifi Pro so I can reduce the clutter a bit!

Great way to get power to my outdoor camera without running any more power cables. NOTE: you must have a PoE (power over ethernet) switch or power injector on the other end of your network cable obviously. But it works - simple and no cable clutter!!

Works well with a Draytek 2865Lac which requires a 2.5A supply. One caveat is that your PoE switch needs to support PoE+. Longer leads than usually supplied on these types of devices are helpful, so the power cord and ethernet reach their respective ports without needing to be extended. It may be worth noting that, if you intend to use it with a Draytek the power plug doesn't fit by default, so have had to use a coupler from the link below.
