Yamaha Audio Yamaha R-N2000A Hi-Fi Network Receiver with Streaming, Phono and DAC – Black

Outstanding amplifier. A plethora of features- FM tuner, phono input, stream via wi-fi, Bluetooth, & AirPlay. HDMI, component, optical and coaxial inputs. Best part is that it sounds incredible!! Wirth the price. The MusicCast app works wonderfully. Just for reference: we’re driving a good pair of MartinLogan speakers and using a classic AR turntable.

It’s an outstanding product though I find the music quality is better using the USB DAC input instead of the Ethernet input. The DAC is fed via an M4 Mini running the desktop Qobuz app. Output is to Paradigm Signature speakers with a Signature sub 25. Setup shows how capable the R-N2000A is. A bargain at its price point.

Pros: 1) Build quality 2) Analog meters 3) MusicCast 4) Sound quality A++. In particular, I really like the sound stage it has. I also like it's touch for warmth. Update: I went ahead and bumped this to five stars. This is because the music app works really good with no issues. And I can listen to Pandora. I recommend the Sonus Faber Lumina II speakers for this, they make a great match. Update 2: After having this for over a month I must say I have grown very attached to the sound quality of it. Music sounds so beautiful on this amp! At first I didn't like the vocals being a tad bit recessed, but now I think I prefer it because it makes the sound stage so rich and incredible. The sound quality on this unit just blows me away! If I had to do it over again, it def. would be this amp and no other.

I just found out Yamaha is a leftist company. I will try not to buy anything from them anymore! What a horrible company decision! Yamaha R-N2000A. Will not play FLAC or ALAC. Will not play Apple music natively. The EVERSOLO DMP-A8 plays high resolution, lossless Internet radio. THE EVERSOLO IS ONE OF POSSIBLY 3 audio pieces that WILL PLAY APPLE MUSIC NATIVELY I enjoy the Yamaha, but it seems stupid that in this time of day, it won’t play high resolution, losses, Internet, or Apple Music natively.. Suprised how much I listen to internet radio, from all over the USA and the world. Music, news, comedy, finance, rural news, etc. Sometimes the Internet radio is glitchy I’m not 100% sure if it is within the Yamaha unit or with the Internet station or Internet radio. I use mine with smallish B&W bookshelf 686 speakers. Also a Yamaha HS10 powered subwoofer. The subwoofer doesn’t seem to do much, maybe due to internet radio not having good enough quality. I’ve tried a number of times using Apple high resolution lossless, audio and lossless audio hardwired and wireless, but for whatever reason it seems the Internet radio quality is just as good and I’m not using up the battery on my iPad or iPhone. Apple really seems to have screwed the pooch on the quality of their, audio is not terrible but it seems it could be much much better. It’s too bad Apple does not have or allow devices to play high resolution audio. I do not know if it is the units fault or what, but for some reason a lot of the Internet radio stations that I listen to the sound quality/streaming rate has greatly decreased the quality. It would be great if there was a faster, easier way to search for only high-quality and high rate Internet radio stations!!

My husband loves this! It was easy to hook up and he couldn’t be happier to add this piece to his stereo system. He says he’s never had anything like this before. Very nice! It is a heavy receiver! Nice looking!

I have owned this product for 3 weeks and I must say I am thoroughly enjoying it. It sounds much better than my RX-A3080 with music. I had a disliking for my speakers (Kef R3) before the amplifier arrived. Now I love my setup. I am use to the Yamaha MusicCast platform so I have no complaints. This integrated amplifier has all the inputs and streaming options I need. I waited for this to be released for an entire year and it was worth the wait. I couldn't be more happier.

First impressions: very solid. Sounds much better that my previous Yamaha RN-602. Great connectivity. Update: the best!!!

This thing is better than I expected. I kept waiting for it to launch in the US because I knew it was probably going to be good, but it sounds better than I thought it would. I thought my R-N803 sounded good, but this puts that to shame. The clarity and ability to hear individual instruments blows the mind. You'll need good speakers of course.
