I saw the complaints AFTER I bought it, but for me they were wrong. I got this little guy to keep me off my phone at work and reduce uses on weekends. It's been 3 weeks. It's great honestly. You can still use blue tooth and make calls, you can still listen to música. But for the most part... your phone is just a brick.Now, you'll see people complaining about the emergency unlock, which is hour up 10x. They obviously didn't read and act like children. It's very east to not really look and lock your phone for 10hour and not 1 hour. So it's a useful tool... buuuut make sure you really really really need your phone. Because you only get 5.That means even if you get this for your kid, and he discovered the unlock code, he is just making his life harder, by prolonging the timer.

This is a cool way to see if you can be without your phone. Every once in a while, I do a social media detox and keeping my phone locked up like this is a great idea. You can still answer your phone, because it isn’t calling people that’s the problem.The set up is a little tricky but you have to read and go through the instructions so that you can make sure you don’t lock your phone up longer than expected.I would suggest testing it first without your phone.It is made of light weight plastic. I guess if it were heavier, it would be harder to take with you. In an emergency you can break it. The version I have is not complete closed. The areas where there is no plastic, you can touch your phone. There's nothing to stop you from touching your phone. It's about you ending the dependence on your phone.But we all need to be away from our phones for a bit so we can connect with people.A great idea that will be needed more and more in the future.

I ultimately chose this one because my phone could fit in it (I have an Android Velvet, they're very long) but I'm super happy with this; it's easy to use, fits fine in my bag, and has helped my productivity IMMENSELY. I also set it at night to keep from getting sucked into my phone before bed. Highly recommended, it's really good to be liberated from the impulse to look up everything I think of or turn to my phone when I'm having trouble getting work done.

The media could not be loaded. I got this item because it would be great to keep my child off their phone. When I used it the first time, I set the timer didn't start, but it locked. In order to get the phone out I had to do the emergency unlock. The next day I tried to use it, it was locked on its own. I double clicked the lock button and I would get the blue screen with the unlock icon. I don't know if I got a defective one or I'm not doing something correctly.

Bought is a gift for a friend, who was constantly bombarding me with many annoying calls every day. I have not heard from him in weeks, so it definitely works, and well!But seriously, I put this on my young sons phone, and it broke him of some bad habits, excellent purchase!

This product is definitely good in theory, but it feels like it needs an update.Fighting screen addiction is a noble, and welcome pursuit, but this product feels more like a means of serving discipline rather than building discipline. It's a bit punitive, so it's probably best as a negative reinforcement for kids, teens, or schoolteachers who confiscate phones for bad behavior.As a parent, I'm loathe to lock my phone inside because if an emergency with my family does arrive, there are only 5 emergency unlocks allowed on the unit and no way to reset that counter after you've used them. That means that after you use your allotted 5 emergency unlocks, you're just out of luck.This seems to be a critical failure. Surely there should be a way to hard-reset the counter with a paperclip for parents so that you aren't literally locked out of your phone if you happen to have a 6th legitimate emergency.It's big enough to fit large phones, but not if you have even a modest case on them. My Galaxy Note 20 Ultra had to be forcibly jammed inside to fit, making me feel pretty uneasy about the effects it may have on my phone.All in all, it's not a bad idea, but it does need some improvements to feel more like a way to build disciple rather than feeling like you're on the business end of that discipline.Hoping for a version 2.0 sometime that addresses those issues.

If you need a break and self-control, then it is worth it.

The media could not be loaded. I was going to sleep at 2-3am everyday because of social media. I now lock my phone after I finish work and set the lock for just one hour after I start work so social media is not the first thing I see when I open my eyes. I noticed how much time I’m loosing on the phone while I could be reading or enjoying life. Don’t think twice!
