Revived our decking
This decking oil is great. Our decking is quite old so after cleaning it with fungicidal cleaner and letting it dry in the hot sun, I used this. It's great stuff and soaked into the wood almost immediately. Initially I put the first coat on a bit too thick which meant that it took a long time to soak in. In fairness the instructions were clear about thin coats - so it was my own fault. It will easily cover a medium sized deck like ours. I did two coats and it looks great. There's a great depth to the colour. I used this oak colour as it was an old deck so it hides the old wear and tear. The water beads off the surface so I know it's definitely doing its job. Two coats was great for our old decking. I'll probably do another very thin coat in the spring to give it a bit of a lift.

Happy with this product. Looks best if the wood is sanded back to expose the wood grain, then 2 coats applied.
This goes on well, spreads well, goes far and leaves a great (waterproof) finish. My old decking was in serious decline. It was green, wet all the time and murderously slippy underfoot. Some of the timbers were heading for replacement. I applied firstly a product to kill all the algae, moulds, fungus and moss. Then I brushed the worst of the debris off, replaced parts that had gone too far and applied wood hardener and filler to areas that were still salvageable. I then power-sanded the whole lot, to get back to really decent wood and open up the grain. I then applied timber preservative that soaks deep into the wood and keeps working over a long time (2 or 3 years) to keep the algae from coming back. When the timbers were again fully dry, I gave it a final light sand all over, then a good stiff brush and applied 2 coats of decking oil in Neutral Oak. The first coat soaks in and straight away you can see the grain of the wood. Once really dry, the second coat is more easily applied and you don't need so much as it doesn't soak in as much as the first coat. The 2 coats leave a really nice finish and the rain just beads and runs off. It's no longer slippy underfoot and looks great. It will need doing with this each year and then a more significant overhaul probably every 2 or 3 years. Much cheaper than replacing it with new decking. Pleased with the result. Also, it's easy to clean the brush in warm soapy water. No need for powerful solvents.

A good product and reasonable priced
Have used this product a couple of times now. It is easy to paint onto the decking and leaves a good finish and a decent colour. You can see it repelling the water following application. The one drawback is that after rain, I have noticed that around the knots in the wood, it leaves some white bubbles which then stain. Will need to reapply every year. Would probably buy again, although might see what other products are recommended.

Great coverage
Good quality deck oil quite a rich consistency.was easy to apply gave our deck two coats.first time using as I normally use ronseal decking protector for a more natural look however was not impressed the last time i used the protector and it didn't last as it used to do. hence I tried their deck oil which appears to have given a good strong coverage.well overpriced but that's just the nature of buying anything for your garden since covid🙃...Amazon was the cheapest I could find for this product...overall happy with the result

Superb product, rubbish delivery
Product was superb...we used this before and would highly recommend. However, delivery not so good....both cans were badly dented and looked like they had been thrown around. Luckily no major leaks...and as we were using it immediately kept it. Also, driver did not follow instructions and fumped whole order on doorstep in full view of public...we were out and driver stated "handed to resident" which definitely did not hsppen

Great product at a great price!
At least half the price of places such as B&Q and Homebase. The tin was quite dented on opening, despite really good packaging, so that may relate to the price as I’ve seen other customers mention the same, but that didn’t affect the quality of the product. One 5ltr tin managed to cover all of our holiday home decking, front, sides and steps. It covered really well and looks fantastic! Our decking was looking very tired and faded, it looks like new now!

Nice stuff
Not happy that the tin was properly dented when it arrived. I was going to return it but needed it that day. But all that said, this is excellent stuff. And goes on nicely. Looks great as well.
