Dead Island Definitive Collection Slaughter Pack (PS4)

3 games, a poster and 2 statues for £20? By far the best value collectors' edition around. In this pack you get the Definitive editions of Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, which include EVERY DLC pack produced. Both games run at 30fps, which if you're used to 60fps gameplay is a stark change (just my personal preference, both games look the game graphics wise as they were on X360. Retro Revenge is a 16-bit styled side-scrolling game, not my cup of tea but a solid spin-off. The "Popcorn Zombie" is a great statue. Rather disgusting looking and built solid. The "Fan Weapon" seems a bit brittle and cheap, doesn't function well as a fan but looks ok. The poster is MASSIVE. Easily A1 sized and rather creepy looking.

This package is amazing. Firstly the box is about the size of two big cereal boxes. And looks great on display.The figure ‘popcorn zombie’ Is gorgeous and highly detailed. Solid and well made.The other ‘fan’ weapon isn’t much but a welcome edition that stands nicely along side the zombie.Then we have a huge poster.The games. Okay you get Dead Island 1 on disc with a code for Riptide and Retro mini game. All DLC is included.Graphics have been made to shine and offer better detail. The games run better which is a welcome change given Riptides original release on PS3.Dead Island is just a great game. Zombie slaying, surviving, crafting and driving in a beautiful resort now overcome with the undead. I play only single player but there is multiplayer.My only criticism is the ‘Ryder White’ dlc. It’s super hard with respawning zombies. A liner boring structure and awful set up for restarting from a check point without the weapons you lost before dying (yet the Zombies you killed return). Anyway this is a tiny part of a bigger brilliant game.Also included with the two main games is a retro inspired platformers. Only briefly tried this so can’t comment.Lastly a nice edition is ‘one punch mode’ If you find the game hard try this mode. Hit a zombie and they go flying like when Superman threw Zod in Superman 2. However this mode locks out trophiesAnyway for £23 pound this is worth it purely for the figure alone.
