I clever alternative way to illustrate the famous Edgar Allen Poe poem. The pop up "illustrations" evoking the the gothic atmosphere of the poem.I loved the muted monochromatic colours and the etched cross-hatched look of the different pages. I particularly liked the hand that gradually opens to reveal its content.A great way to introduce younger people to the work of Edgar Allen Poe.

Absolutely love this pop up book it is so cleverly constructed and I am pleased the whole poem is displayed within the book.The graphics are exceptional so moody and atmospheric.

Brings this classic poem to life. I used it, to great effect, with my group of y6 children. They were fascinated with the depth created in the paper craft and this helped them understand the more subtle elements of the poem. Highly recommended for your bookshelf.

I bought this as a gift for my wife who is a lifelong Poe fan and lover of popup books, and she loved it. Very skillfully constructed, good quality and superb illustrations.

Better than I thought, and I had high hopes. This is not a "normal" pop-up book. The entire poem is there, but as pull-outs. The pop-ups focus on atmosphere and impact. An example? The opening page has the poem's narrator at his desk. He holds up a book he is reading. The book has several separate pages, each with print on them. The art itself is very open and inviting (inviting but creepy.) It was the mix of open art with still had significant detail, and stanzas of the entire poem being available on each page, that made this particular pop-up book, for me, unique.
