Finally attempting my first chunky blanket and glad that the size was perfect. Super soft with a nice weight to it. There was no shedding and sturdy yarn pulls/threads easily. Kind of reminds me of terrycloth. I kept the tension tight on my loops per some youtube videos and pretty happy with it. The color is great, looks like it's going to be cozy, and I can already feel the weighted effect after 3 skeins. I did buy two more skeins just in case but may have some overage to do another blanket.

I wanted to crochet a chunky blanket for my sister for Christmas and decided to go with a giant hook and giant yarn. While it was tough to get the hang of using a big hook (T-30, 30 mm hook), this yarn was easy to work with while I was getting the hang of it and I’m so glad it wasn’t stretchy. You’ll need to keep your tension looser than normal if you end up using a hook! The yarn is so soft. Perfect texture for a blanket. I used an easy pattern (1 row double crochet, 1 row slip stitch) and it ended up looking like it was harder than it was. It worked up quickly (I had to redo quite a few stitches though so it evened out the timeline 😂). I loved the color I chose! The yarn came in vacuum packed bags which was convenient - tip: only open each bag as you need more yarn. Less stuff everywhere! The smell wasn’t too bad, in fact, I don’t remember being repulsed at all. Good value for the money. If I had bought these elsewhere, I probably would have had to drop more money to make a blanket. That said, this comes with 8 skeins of yarn. It’s enough to make a lap blanket. Perfect for reading, sitting, etc. and for a few simple tassels. Covers you from the waist down, basically. Looks cute on a couch or on the end of a bed.:) But too small for covering your whole body to take a nap on the couch. 😂 I’d recommend either buying additional single skeins to make it a tad bigger, or buy 16 total if you want ensure that it’ll cover someone’s whole body. My sister loved it as a gift and didn’t think it was too small so if you can’t buy more, you’ll likely be ok.:) Hope the photos help you get a better idea of the sizing!

I’m new to hand crocheting and this yarn has been easy for me to work with. It’s super soft. The color is true to the picture in the description. I’ll buy it again.

Created a beautiful chunky knit blanket with this and as you can see, the cat loves it as well. I will say, making this worked so much better with the loom I purchased from here as well. So look into getting one if you want to try making a chunky knit blanket as I found using my hands/fingers made the links too loose and inconsistent. I believe I used 8 skeins for this blanket and it was quite large.

Comes vacuum sealed and is super soft. Used it to finger knit a blanket and it turned out great. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because some areas were a little thin and ripped easily but they were far and few

I purchased this yarn in Cream to make a prayer blanket with a khaki boader and I couldn't be happier with the quality. The color is a beautiful, warm off-white that looks very elegant. ​Most importantly, the yarn is consistent and full throughout the entire skein—no sparse or thin areas to worry about. It is incredibly soft to the touch and doesn't shed or fray while I'm working with it, which makes the stitching process very smooth. It feels sturdy enough to provide lasting comfort. Truly a high-quality yarn that I would highly recommend for special gift projects!

Got to say I am SO disappointed in this! I purchased this in the red and a couple other colors and I was thrilled to find it at such a good price (on sale), and with so many blankets on my to-do list for Christmas I thought I'd give it a try. Was using it along size Cozyful solid and tri-color and Hobby-lobby solids (both the extra thick for blankets). What I received is NOT what others are picturing - it's SO much thinner. Yes, it was VERY vacuum packed, and I left it out to fluff up for almost 2 weeks. Even after running it thru a wisk multiple times, it was probably less than 1/2 the size of my other comparable yarn. Chunks falling off as I worked, and several tie-togethers mid skein. Hard to hide the burn-together ends as there was not much floof/substance to work with. The colors were true to advertisement, but I'm scared it won't hold up to the quality of the other surrounding yarn in the blanket and it will eventually fall apart for recipients. With the white it wasn’t as obvious in my blanket re: quality difference - I tried to make my stitches a bit shorter and tighter when using this color, but it's more evident on the end when I needed to do a bigger loop to keep my blanket from curving - and since it's thinner it doesn't fill it in as well. The red was AWFUL. (That’s the picture I’m showing: the Homby’s red compared to the Cozyful white). Truly a bummer....I had hoped I found another affordable source to support my costly hobby - but I won't be using this again, no matter how on sale it goes.

I've made several throws using this jumbo yarn for hand-knitting. It works up very quickly -- about 5-6 balls needed for a throw. Washes well. Does have a chemical smell at first. Colors are ok.

Pire qualité de laine !!!! S'effiloche sur toute une pelotes, à jeter... Plus une autre pelotes avec des nœuds... Et pas très épaisse... C'est un mauvais deal !
