Hollings Meat & Bone Meal 4kg

I admit I was slightly dubious about this bonemeal given how cheap it is compared to Antiforte. My poorly pup has gobbled it up however and even I, a vegetarian smelled it was good and am slightly tempted! No unpleasant smells. No shards or larger bone bits. Wholesome Ayurvedic nutrition guaranteed. She’s just had an operation cutting a long splinter of wood from her back of her head that went through the eye socket to the back head, split and then up the ear on impact -thrown up by a squirrel chase. So I am desperate to help recovery and buying this seemed a no loss decision. So thankful to have found this ,and so cheap too. Thanks to Holling’s for another great value product. It has a best before Aug 2024 but I’ll get through it probably before anyway. I recommend this to any dog and will be giving slightly more than is recommended as her needs are high at the minute in this intense healing stage.

This is great for adding to raw cat food. We make our own cat food and add this as the percentage of bone they need. You sometimes get a bit of bone that’s a little big, but not often

My dog has heart disease and Cushing disease and among other drugs, he has to take diuretics with the obvious problems they cause. He is also covered in warts. I decided to try this product to help firm his poo. He weighs 10kg. I give he half a tablespoon a day. It worked brilliantly. I wasn’t expecting anything else but he has stopped wetting in the house at night as well. He has more energy than he has had in years and the warts are shrinking. I have started him on 500mg of lysine as well. I think, from what I have read that the lysine is responsible for the warts and this product for the rest. He licks the bowl clean so obviously loves it.

Good value for money. Easy to use. My dogs like the bonemeal and it helps keep their bowel movement firmer. The only thing I dislike are that there can be some slightly larger bits of ground up shap bone in the pot, however I just remove them as they are large enough to be taken out. 1 tup can go a long way.

Bought this for a giant breed dog with tummy problems caused by serious neglect before we rescued him. Tried many things to firm up his stools before trying this. 2 tablespoons a day mixed with his food has made a huge difference. He now digests his food and produces a couple of firm stools daily instead of almost constant loose/runny ones. It took a few days to get the amount right for him. He eats it without a problem mixed in with his food and has given us a cheap and easy way to help this old boy. Because of his size I buy the 4kg size and it keeps well in a cool place.

Bought this after reading somewhere it assists in firming up a dogs' stools. Well it does but with the added bonus that, mixed with his dry kibble, he finds the whole far more appetising. At the price it is well worth maintaining the inclusion in his diet.

This product is good. I've bought before. It supplements my dogs' diet and helps digestion. But this time the tub arrived with the "Best before" sticker half pealed off? It's looks and smells ok, but it doesn't fill me with confidence. I will source my next tub from a different supplier.

Been using this for a year or so as my dog was regularly at the vets having his anal glands dealt with. Read that this helps to harden stools so gave it a try. Really has worked. The first one of the day is a bit difficult for him to pass and this empties the glands nicely. He hasn't had to have them expressed since I started to use this product. He weighs 32.5 kg and I only give him a dessert spoonful on his food each morning, so it lasts a long time. My dogs don't get bones as part of their diet, and perhaps they are designed to digest them, so this product gives them that.
