Lucas Toys Train Track Clips for Lionel O-Gauge FasTrack Tracks, Pack of 12 (Tracks NOT Included)

Always had an issue with Fasttrack coming apart at the connection points, tried all kinds of things, like tape, hot glue, etc. Except for nailing the pieces into a backboard, nothing ever worked. This year, I found these clips and gave them a go. I have 3 layouts, about 170 linear feet of track. To the quick summary, they work great. I had to redo my track assembly tho, it's a learning process for sure. Normally you would just install one track piece after another, not so with these clips. These clips go on the underside of the track. For larger layouts, it's easier to assemble small sections, say 4-5 track pieces, turn the section upside down, install these clips, then set the section on your layout right side up. To join the prefab section to your bigger layout, joing your prefab section to the main layout, then, lay on the ground, twist the track up slightly, and slide this clip into place to join the prefab to the main layout. Just repeat the process over and over until your layout is complete. You have to plan ahead, at least 4-5 pieces, so, it takes just a bit longer but not a single issue, running the trains for about a week, and no issues whatsoever. No separation, no shifting out of position, nothing. Track stays put right on the floor with no anchoring needed. I'm surprised Lionel hasn't jumped on these yet IMHO, it fixes the flawed implementation of FastTrack for sure.

This was a must purchase. The fast track train track is awesome but will separate at times from the use of the train. These clips solved the trouble. Thanks....and order enough to cover the whole track, you won't be disappointed.

These clips work well on fastrack. I’ve used these and the other style that they have on Amazon. Personally, I prefer the other style it locks in a little better with that H design. Both clips seems to work well and I have really had no issues with either design. I just prefer the other design on my set up.

Well simply put, they work. Hold track joints tight.

First of all, the entrepreneur should obtain a utility patent and license it to Lionel and earn millions on this brilliant solution to a real problem. I set up my O size train this year using these clips and the problems of lost voltage and tracks falling apart were cured once and for all. Sure, I know they only cost pennies to produce, but I don't have a factory and they are worth it! Get rich! It's okay with me. I will order more as I expand mt set.
