My heart is still racing. This is one of the most direct, bold, and provocative books I’ve ever read. It will challenge you. You will have to show up and serve boldly in order to get the results they promise. And why wouldn’t you?" -- Molly Gordon, Master Certified Coach Review: A must read book if you run a coaching business - In a fully connected world, the authors remind us that as coaches we only need to connect with one client at a time. They dispel the notion of big marketing, internet lists etc and suggest that making deep personal 1-2-1 connections is the best way to build a sustainable and profitable coaching business. This seems to fly in the face of lots of other current 'wisdom' and coaching experts. It does however, make complete sense to me and I suspect many of those who read the book. Coaching, they remind the reader is a deep transformational process and not superficial or casual. Coaches add tremendous value and their impact goes well beyond the face to face time with a client, and they should charge accordingly. This book will introduce the reader to the true value of their coaching and expose how they may have been underselling themselves. The book provides a reference point from which to compare and contrast other points of view about how to build a coaching business. If you're a professional coach or want to coach, it's a must read. Review: "The Prosperous Coach: Increase Income and Impact for You and Your Clients" - This book has blown me away! Litvin and Chandler are awesome! This book will prove to be life-changing for me. I'm a trainee coach - I thought the direction in which I was travelling was the right one for me but I now know that I was wrong. Back to the drawing board... This book has re-invigorated me, it has energised me and excited me. I haven't experienced a change in thinking, it has been a full-on shift. It's 11.29pm now, the end of one part of my coaching journey, tomorrow starts the next stage. Tomorrow, I will bound out of bed with a new found enthusiasm. It's time to take some big steps, it's time to, as Rich says, "get comfortable feeling uncomfortable", time to put myself into the ring. Litvin and Chandler implore us, "Don't wait for one-hundred percent readiness. It will never come. When you are eighty percent ready, got for it. Run straight at it. Get exposed. Risk messing up. Failing is not a problem that you will face. Failing is how you get there." It's time for me to start failing - and I can't wait! Thanks, Rich and Steve, for firing the starting pistol!

The most transformative book for coaches there is
I’ve just finished reading The Prosperous Coach, it’s the only business book I’ve actually read cover to cover and I’ve absolutely loved every minute of it. It is PACKED with incredible insights and information I haven't seen or heard anywhere else. I've taken so many incredible nuggets of wisdom from this book, and I know it will remain on my desk as a reference text for the rest of my coaching career. I'll now be quietly implementing what I've read, slow everything down, give powerful coaching experiences, make bold offers, and gently build my coaching practice one dream client at a time. I've already recommended this book to every coach I speak to, and if you are a coach either struggling to gain consistency, or are already a master coach, this book will unlock a deeper level. I am already a better coach for having read it. Thank you so much to Rich and Steve for being so fearlessly generous with their time, experience and wisdom.

Good, but a bit light on how to actually create clients in the first place
This is a very good book for newish coaches. Having already wasted weeks and months trying to generate traffic via website, funnels, landing pages and LinkedIn blogging, I was rather hoping for more actual nitty gritty on how to actually create new clients from scratch in the first place, without all the usual marketing tactics and gimmicks.

Don't bother reading all the reviews... buy this now!
As a career coach, I have read a fair few books targeted at coaches and this is waaaaayyyyy up there with my favourites. Rich and Steve take a refreshingly different approach to most people who support coaches and my copy of this book is filled with yellow highlighter markings and notes - because the content is just that rich and worth executing. My coaching biz is part time around employed work at the moment and I love that Rich and Steve speak to that. I've read The Prosperous Coach three times or so and implement something new each time which moves me forward - and I will continue to keep doing so. I'm often a book sharer but this one is not one that will leave my library. If you are considering coaching or are a coach (full time or part time)... do yourself a favour and get your own copy today! I really do highly recommend it. Thank you Rich and Steve.

The Prosperous Coach
This has proved a very challenging and thought provoking book. I have rarely read anything that caused me to say - so often - "I am getting that wrong I need a new approach." I was going to say its like a business spring clean but it's more like a deep cleansing process. They use the phrase - that coaching is being in the miracle business. We coaches have the privilege of changing people's lives, creating key breakthroughs, giving them the opportunity to see situations and issues in a different light. We have a host of powerful and high impact conversations. Steve Chandler would then ask the question - "so why do you undersell yourself?". As well as being challenging the book is very well written and demonstrates great understanding of the likely readership. Great book!

Not quite what I was hoping for. Some parts ...
Not quite what I was hoping for. Some parts are interesting and relevant but I do not share some of the vues of the author. I do for instance think that even if the approach focuses on the "experience" that you are offering your potential client as a way to show your value, I wouldn't completely neglect websites and social media. They are still a very helpful way to communicate your vision. It depends on your style I guess.

Powerful & timeless wisdom
This book is truly a miracle. There are so so many "experts" who love to give you advice on building your practice. Advice that in fact has absolutely nothing to do with coaching itself but only distances you further and further from what coaching is really all about - service. In this book Steve Chandler and Rich Litvin gives you the power back. The power to honor what you know in your gut to be true. At times the book is painstakingly simple, which is why I believe it's so effective. There are no bells and whistles - it's clear, clean and to the point. Rarely have I experienced that a book has held as much timeless power and wisdom as this one. I couldn’t put it down and it’s become the no.1 book I recommend to anyone who’ll listen (or won’t for that matter!). The book found me at time when I was going through the final woes of my struggles and I can honestly say that this book is what finally pulled me out of misery and completely transformed the way I value myself, my time and my craft as a coach. It’s a huge beam of light in this world. I am reminded of one of my favourite quotes from A Course in Miracles which reads… “A miracle is never lost. It may touch many people you have not even met, and produce undreamed of changes in situations of which you are not even aware.” I consider Steve getting together with Rich and writing this book as a true miracle. A huge testament of love for the craft coaching is. The content of the book is like a pebble being thrown into water, the ripple effect will spread far and wide. I highly recommend the book to you who feels lost listening to experts, you who know in your gut that there's another way of doing business. Much love & light, Mariaestela

Good book, lousy quality
I'm still reading this book and fininding it enjoyable and with a reasonable amount of useful tips. My main gripe however is the quality of the actual book- it's a disgrace. It's of the lowest quality and finding it hard not to be ditsracted by the print from the next page coming through the cheap paper. It reminds me of the photocopied books street sellers in Vietnam sell the tourist. I find it ironic that a book that focues on creating wealth and abundance is presented in such a cheap and nasty way!
