I bought this to solve an issue I was having with my water distiller. After each cycle, the gasket between the head unit and the boiling pot would stick and be very difficult to separate. My thought was that a little lubrication might solve the problem, but since I’m drinking the distilled water, I wanted something food safe. If I’m going through the trouble of distilling water, it doesn’t make much sense to introduce a non food safe product. I remembered using food grade silicone grease in the past for SCUBA diving O rings, so I looked for something similar that was NSF H-1 rated and safe for incidental food contact. This is what I ended up with. It worked exactly like I hoped. After applying a small amount to the gasket, the parts separate easily with no sticking. Since then, I’ve found a few other uses for it as well, things like blender seals, water filter components, and even refrigerator door seals. Pros: Food grade and safe for incidental contact Works well on gaskets and seals Water resistant and long lasting Useful for multiple household applications Cons: None in my experience Bottom line: If you need a food safe lubricant for seals or O rings, this works great. I would recommend it and will buy it again.

Worked great for what it is designed to do. I had not used it before when changing the o ring and always had to deal with a leak. This worked great and no messing with leaks.

Just rubbed a little dap on toilet flapper and wala amazing. Water has been holding in bowl for a month now and last thru numerous flushes

I use this on all rubber gaskets. From chicken water tank to water hose connection. I even use it on my co2 cartridge for the BB gun.

I have a hand pump for my well that can be used when there is no electric along with my regular well pump and I used this product on the hand pump because it wasn't as smooth as it used to be and it worked like a gem! The company that installed my hand pump told me to use this specific product, he is happy with it and so am I!

Used this product on a closet door which was very difficult to open and close. Applied some silcone grease along the track where the closet door wheel contacted the track. The closet door now opens and closes easily, a quick fix that worked perfectly!

No complaints. Works as it should.

This is advertised as, and appears to be, pure silicone plumbers grease. I've compared it to another, much more known brand and can't tell the difference. That's important if one is using it to lubricate food grade materials, such as espresso machine parts, where the grease might eventually wash off and find its way into the product. Some competing so-called food grade grease is petroleum-based, or contains petroleum. I'm not expert in food or grease, but I know I don't want to ingest petroleum. I've bought a competing brand and per unit, this is about half the price. for most DIY folks, three tubes is probably a lifetime supply, as a little goes a long way.
