Highly effective for spiders and ants
We have had a yard service that applied the Eco smart granules every sixty days and they worked and smelled great. We are on the edge of a wild area where deer and turkeys abound so the granules seem to keep ticks off our large yard as well. Unfortunately the service discontinued the granules. We were probably their only all organic customer. So we fired them and have started to apply the granules ourselves. Very easy to scatter by hand but I recommend long pants, garden gloves and glasses to protect your eyes from the dust. So easy, effective, and safe for our dogs and kitty.

Natural way to keep the unwanted bugs away
This product is easy to use. I like it being a more natural product. I do not worry about my pets walking on the ground after we put it out there. It smells very good for a few days. This is not an instant get rid of bugs, but if you put it on your yard consistently, it will really help get rid of the pests. We have an elevated patio with floor planks. I spread out a light amount using a cup and sweep it between the boards. It helps keep the unwanted bugs off of our patio.

Strong smell, works alright
I bought this to spread on my lawn because I have massive amounts of "pill bugs" in the small patch of grass I have (for the dog's bathroom use0. We are in the desert, and pretty much have desert landscaping except this area. While it did seem to decrease the population, it did not eradicate them. The smell of the granules is like a very strong camphor smell. I ended up using it in my potted plants outside too, and it seems to keep the fungus knats away. I like that it is safe for children and pets as my dog is only 6.5 lbs, and I work about her getting sick with chemicals. This is the only one I could find that seemed satisfactory to me in that regard.

This Stuff Works!
I sprinkle about a five to six inch wide track of this around my house (maybe two or three twelve-ounce scoops) and any insect that walks through it is gone. If you see ants walking through it today, look again tomorrow. They'll probably be gone. It's been great for controlling flying ants too. I recommend this. Previously, it said "Organic." Apparently someone worked it out that that's an oxymoron.

It was not liked by the ants and pests
It was not liked by the ants and pests. However i did have a few issues and FYI's for future buyers.1) If you get a lot of rain, you will have to reapply this everytime it does, which is a pain2) the scent is VERY strong, when you first apply it especially around areas you frequent it is a very strong smell, it is not a bad smell, but like if you accidently poured essential oils out on your clothes. When working with it it will make your eyes water. Make sure you open and close the bag outside. I fyou open in side and leave it open it will get VERY strong in the garage, or wherever it is.I dont use poisons, so options ar elimited. THis combined with DE seems to help alot. i would be wary if you have chickens in your yard if they eat it, etc. as it looks like chicken scratch. It worked for the ants i had, in the cracks in the driveway and in the yard i would put a small amount over the hole and around the area. However the ants seemed to just create a new hole somwhere else and keep working. However i think with mass casting in the area it would keep theme away better. It does work, if the ants "liked" it or "didnt mind it" they wouldnt have abandoned their main entry/exit. I think the best apporach is to scatter this throughout the yard and heavier around nest areas and the puff the direct nest and area around it with DE. What i found works is for bigger nests is to take a shovel, dig in and flop that area open. puff the insides with DE and around the hole. Then leave it open for a few days. Scatter this around the area. Repeat. by the end of the summer i had a bunch of smaller nests throughotu but all the mega nests had been defeated. Next summer will be to limit the numbers of smaller nests near the house. I dont mind having ants around they help with the ecosystem i am developing. I just dont want 400 per acre.
