Great bannetons and linings

I like the size of the soda bread slices that this oval banaton makes. Have had them about 2 - 3 years now and if you clean them and dry them after use they last well.

Prior to purchasing these, I had been baking my loaves either in a standard loaf tin or in a dutch oven and simply proving them in a bowl beforehand. These little baskets are large enough to turn out a good-sized loaf. So far I have only used them with the included fabric liners each time. I am a little nervous about using them without these as I am not sure how easy it would be to clean the basket if any dough got stuck in the cracks. When using the fabric, the loaves turn out beautifully and very easily. The dough simply falls away from the fabric (which I dust first with flour). The loaves themselves still manage to retain the shape and ribbing of the basket although maybe not as strongly as when using the basket without the fabric liner. All in all, I am very happy with these and haven't used anything else since buying them.

Very happy with these bannetons. Not used just yet but they appear to be good quality at a very reasonable price.

Very nice proofing baskets and works well! I had to buy new one as my last got mouldy so hopefully this one will last a long time 🙂 It is build well and bread was more symmetrical than when I haven't used a proofing basket so I'm really happy about that 🙂

These are the perfect size for sourdough loaves. Some baskets are a little bigger than this and I feel like my loaves are flatter. The quality is spot on.

Judging by other people's reviews I had mixed expectations, but upon opening all of them were greatly exceeded! I can't believe these are at least half the price of ones I've seen elsewhere and I struggle to think of a way they could be improved. Both basket and liner seem to be well made and of very good quality, and certainly the dimensions I was expecting them to be. I'll note that when I rinsed the liners in boiling water (first salted to disinfect, then a clear rinse), I noticed some of the colour seeping out. I didn't take that to be an issue though and on the second rinse the water was clear. Perhaps I got lucky, who knows?

These are sold as being 25cm. I received two - one is 26cm and the other one is 24cm. Apart from the fact that they are both not what they are described to be they are also very different in size, so you can't use them for two breads of the same size. 2cm difference is just too much. Disappointing.

Ci hanno messo un po’ ad arrivare ma alla fine ne sono soddisfatta. Al primo utilizzo il pane si appiccica un po’ anche cospargendolo bene di farina ma dal secondo utilizzo il panetto si stacca facilmente. Le lavo in lavatrice e ritornano pronte per l’uso
