Sturdy and as described with one flaw the collar battery does not hold charge, I have to recharhe it before i want to use it every time.

This is one of my best purchases ever -- it probably has the potential of saving my dog's life. We walk where there are coyotes and some other threatening animals, and I've always allowed my dogs to walk off leash as much as possible. This product works! I have not even had to use the shock treatment and so far just the beep and now and then the vibrate method is needed to get his attention. Other dog walkers don't always appreciate my young dog running up to them, laughing his head off, and wanting to play. So, he needs to learn to obey my commands. He's learning quickly! This is a very humane and precise way to train a dog. Since we walk near a canal, my dog is in the water a lot. The collar is truly waterproof. It recharges quickly and the directions are easy to understand. The collar is extremely easy to use and is most effective. I highly recommend this way of training a dog.

Does not work for my 4 month old shepherdBattery says charging but doesn’t work after one time of use . Tried to return it Amazon told me to contact seller and haven’t heard back .

My only regret is that I let this sit in the box as long as I did. I thought for sure it would take a lot of effort to train my dog on this, so I waited until I had a long weekend with good weather. No need to wait. It took one walk and he was trained. I have never had to use the shock feature. I only had to use the vibrate feature once when he chased a squirrel. My dog is trained on an electric fence in the yard so understands that a "beep" means a shock may be coming if he doesn't change his direction. Off leash, one beep and he immediately follows the command I am giving him. I have even been able to train him in just a couple of walks how to heel next to me. This has given me and my dog a lot of freedom and I couldn't be happier. Also... it is waterproof as he has swam several times already in the pond. Just make sure the little "plug" is in place.

Range isn’t as far as advertised but close. Multiple prong lengths. Easy to use. Perception that with 2 dogs (green/orange), it’s easy to switch from one to the other but it isn’t (multiple dog switch not color coded). Stopped pairing after 3months, collar won’t charge, unit is now useless.
