Works great, simple to use
After a heavy rain I needed to drain some water from my pool. This pump did the job quickly and quietly with no need for priming. Super simple to set up and use.

Not working very well
We’ve only been using it for about 2 weeks and it’s making a high pitched squealing sound. We have cleaned it making sure there’s no clog and it’s still doing it.

Hard working pump
I use this pump to pump water off the top of a tarp that I use for covering my swimming pool. It does a great job.

Good pump for its size
The weather hasn't allowed on-site testing of this pump in the well house reservoir, so we tested it in the tub instead. Works as intended, albeit a bit noisy. The pump sits flush with the ground surface, so if you have any silt or debris issues, it's best to elevate the pump slightly.

Excellent temporary pump
I got this pump because my garage floods with 2-3 inches of water each spring. Well it worked perfectly, in that now that I have it, my garage didn't flood this year!Instead, I used it to drain some water out of a water table toy.It worked really well, producing a very strong stream of water out of the garden hose I had attached. The only issue I had was that when it got close to the end and the water level briefly dipped below its minimum pickup height of about 1/2". This caused cavitation, and the pump did not recover from it even when placed in much deeper water. The power had to be removed, then reconnected in order to get it pumping again. That's one reason why this isn't good for a permanent install or long term use. The other is that the pump will run dry until it overheats and trips the thermal fuse. This will likely damage the pump, and it definitely voids the warranty according to the manual. It's best to use this when/where you can keep an eye on it and shut it off when the water level is all the way down (or couple it with a float switch). The only other thing I didn't like about this pump is that I could not get all of the water out of it when I was done. Despite tipping it in every direction and even briefly plugging it in while out of the water, I still hear sloshing inside. It's not mentioned in the manual, but the little rubber plug on the top is for adding/changing the oil in the pump. If you use this a lot, you may want to open it from time to time to check the level and replace if needed. I don't know exactly what type of oil it uses, but it seems to be a fairly light weight, like mineral oil. This review was for "BOMGIE 1/6 HP Submersible Water Pump, 1850GPH Thermoplastic Sump Pump Portable Electric Utility Water Pump Removal for Pool Draining Basement Hot Tubs Garden Pool Cover Pond"
