This was absolutely everything to me and I don’t know how I’m meant to just move on with my life??? It’s blown every other Elsie book out of the water for me and I don’t know how she’ll ever top this. theowinter are it for me i love them sm and I will hear a bad word about winter 😭😭😭When I heard the tropes for Reckless, I was a little scared because accidental pregnancy/secret baby is not a trope I really enjoy all that much. But I thought if anyone could pull it off and make me like it, it’s Elsie and boy was I right. This book was phenomenal and I wish I had a Time Machine so I could go back to before I read it and read it again for the first time.Everything about this book is perfect to me. I knew Theo and Winter were gonna put up a good fight to become my faves but the way they knocked it out of the park? Incredible. I did a Heartless reread just before this and was like yes, this is the best book in the Chestnut Springs series but Reckless really said okay bet.It’s funny, it’s sweet, it’s spicy 🥵 but it’s also so emotional and relatable.Daddy Theo has been living in my mind rent free since I finished it. I am down so bad for him. Everything about him is just incredible. The way he cares for his people, the way he gives Winter and exactly what she needs. The way he DEFENDS HER and stands up for her like no one has ever done 😭😭😭"Watch your tone when you're talking to the mother of my child." My wife, who?I also really loved the aspect of seeing the sunshine boy have his down moments and watching his insecurities fight through his confident and happy exterior. The way he felt like an interloper in their lives after he found out was actually heartbreaking 😭Winter has my whole heart. I love a cold exterior woman who deep down cares a lot and Winter has joined the club of my faves. Being inside her head absolutely broke my heart. Her need for constant reassurance and needing to hear how people feel called me out so much.The way Theo understood her and gave her exactly what she needed was out of this world incredible and I loved their dynamic so much. He’s acts of service and words of affirmation displays were EVERYTHING.The cameos from the other characters filled my heart with such joy and Harvey is still the MVP, what a guy. Chestnut Springs is absolutely one of my favourite fictional places and Elsie is the queen of small town romance, I won’t hear otherwise. The way she builds up her worlds and characters is incredible.I think there will be a few people who will miss the point of this and not understand Winter, and to that I say sorry because not getting to fully experience the wonder of this book is a damn shame.In conclusion, this book was everything, my new favourite in the series and everyone needs to read it immediately!I can’t believe we only have one book left in the series but I’m so excited to finally read Beau’s story! The teaser in the back of Reckless has me 🤭 like I called his love interest from the MOMENT she appeared in the CS series!Audiobook thoughtsI did my audiobook reread literally as soon as I finished reading because I just wasn’t ready to leave theowinter. The audiobook is PERFECT! Joe and Savannah really were the perfect narrators to bring Theo and Winter to life. The book translated perfectly to audio and this will absolutely be one that I listen to multiple times. I will say that it is absolutely not office appropriate. The scene in the closet at the wedding actually had me bright red at my desk and paranoid everyone could hear what I was listening to. Would absolutely recommend reading by audio if you’re an audiobook girlie!

It had all the emotions, the rawness and heartache and I felt every one. I was fully immersed in this story and did not put it down.I think this is one of my favourite books with the surprise pregnancy tropes. It’s not a trope I actually mind but Elsie has done it so well. Nothing felt forced and it was nice to see both characters grow together and grow closer.Theo I had instant love for. He was so lovely, sweet and caring and his personality was infectious. He was so into Winter and was able to see past what everyone else saw and actually saw her and what she was about. He was everything she needed and really stepped up into the father role. As the book progressed we got to see some of his flaws and honestly it made me love him all the more.Winter is so strong and beautiful throughout, she really got a bad rep in the previous books but I loved her growth in this. She had such little love for herself and didn’t feel like she belonged anywhere. Her scenes with Summer were so lovely and her and Theo were adorable. Everyone seemed to hate her initially but Theo built his own ideas based on what he saw and gave her all the love she deserved.This book to me is honestly faultless and an easy favourite in this series, absolutely perfect

Reckless is Winter and Theo’s story as they reconnect after a one time thing which sees them not seeing each other for a year and a half. As with the other books in this series this book is a sweet and heart warming read. I enjoyed reading the story and fell in love with the characters. Overall, a good read and one I would recommend.

This book had me crying at times! It was a really good book, really likeable characters, loved Theo! Did not like the 18 months later though!! Feel like we missed so much!Other than that loved it

I've been enthralled by these books, I've laughed, felt sadness, anxiety and passion. I think Elsie is an exceptional writer who can whole heartedly captivate the reader.Loved the text messages on each chapter, made me roar with laughter, giving a sense of character and family.Hopeful that all her books are just as exciting as the chestnut springs collection.

Out of the four books in the series, I’ve liked 2 and 4 and couldn’t really get into 1 and 3. Maybe I like her books when they’re a bit more ridiculous but book 5 will let me know if she can break her odd books curse!I loved Winter, even though naming siblings Summer and Winter and having Winter be an ice queen and Summer be human sunshine is a bit too on the nose for me. Theo is literally the most perfect guy ever?The 3 stars is a placeholder - I’ll probably go a bit higher

VALE A PENA?Adoro a série Chestnut Springs e desde o terceiro livro - Powerless -, notei o quanto a Elsie vem amadurecendo a escrita dela e melhorando a cada livro.Queria muito ler Reckless por causa do Theo - que desde o primeiro livro apareceu como um mulherengo incorrigível - e pela Winter também, que foi ganhando meu coração desde Heartless, quando testemunhamos um momento bem triste em sua vida.Esse livro despensa comentários: a escrita é fantástica, os personagens são cativantes e engraçados (alô, Harvey), e o casal tem uma química sen-sa-cio-nal. O plot de gravidez foi bem feito na minha opinião, eu gostei bastante, sem falar que a Vivi é uma fofa, fiquei rendida demais por essa neném.A separação foi esperada mas bem construída, a Winter deu voz a preocupações que eu mesma tinha sobre o bem-estar do Theo mas que nem tinha me dado conta antes. Os dois começam unidos na força-tarefa que é criar a Vivi e aos poucos vão se acostumando com essa nova realidade. Adorei a determinação da Winter e me derreti com as declarações do Theo, que homi é esse, minha gente?Nem preciso dizer que adorei o final, né? Depois de Heartless, esse é o melhor da série. Ok why did I take so long to read this book? Or really anything by Elsie Silver?! I’m completely obsessed! This group of friends and family are amazing! I’m a sucker for an accidental pregnancy so I was all over this book! Now to go read the first three!When Winter is looking for a fresh start after leaving her ass of an ex husband she finds herself going to visit her sister in Chestnut Springs. What she doesn’t expect is to have a run in with an insanely good looking guy who gives her fiery attitude right back at her! After a world wind one night stand he goes back on the road to bull ride and she’s left with a positive pregnancy test. After trying to contact Theo he all but writes her off…so she thinks. 18 months later he’s back in Chestnut Springs to help Rhett out and when they cross paths and he finds out she has a daughter, he does the math and instantly realizes…it might be his!Theo was so freaking perfect. He was fun. Flirtatious. Caring. Funny. He was such a golden retriever MMC and I was there for it! The way he just threw himself into viviennes life like he was always meant to be there, swoon! This book had me crying and laughing. Some parts I was laughing so hard I cried lol. This book was just so amazing! The way Theo really saw Winter for who she really was, loved it. The way I wanted to wrap Winter up in a big bear hug..I felt so bad for her. Theo and Winter are opposites attract perfection-their connection and chemistry instantly shone through on the page! I had a permanent smile the entire time. It had all the fun banter and sweet interactions. The entire storyline and character development in this book along with some very satisfying moments that rounded out the story was wonderful. I couldn’t put it down.I cannot say enough good things about Winter. I loved the side of her we got in the book. She is so much more than I could’ve imagined from the little glimpses we got in previous books. We even got some answers (though not necessary I recommend reading the other books first). She really is a fantastic character, her strength was everything, she has been through and overcame so much which made her someone you easily rooted for.Let’s give a special shout out to all the glory that is Theo Silva. I have seen it from other readers, and I will absolutely put my two cents in-he gives Cade Eaton a run for his top spot. Theo is all kinds of wonderful and swoony spicy goodness. You will not be left wanting.Elsie told their story is such a beautiful way! I laughed, my heart hurt for them both. They are just what the other needs in their lives, and I loved seeing as they worked for their HEA.I know a lot may be a little wary of the tropes included, but like others have said trust the process and trust in the author, she delivers! Not only is this whole series a must read, but you absolutely must run to grab Reckless.I loved being back in Chestnut Springs and with this family. This author has me so excited for the next book-especially after the sneak peak.5⭐️
