Love my Boxio Toilet.. However, I only paid £12 for it on Black Friday so I bought 2 and gave one to my daughter for her van. I was very happy with it, but would not have paid the full price. It is essentially a storage box, with lid that ties on with string, a liquid container and a grey tub for solids. It's simple, all washable, but I think it's overpriced. Get it on Black Friday and you'll be happy.

I bought this when some error was made and they were listed for £12 for a very short time, was expecting the order to be cancelled but it was delivered.It uses a euro box and is a very compact composting toilet, simple but ingenious. Can’t quite see £160 worth of materials/design but then again all the other composting toilets are much more expensive than this one. I have used it on a few trips now and use compostable recycling bin bags and a sawdust/coffee grounds mix in the solids container for the covering and it works astonishingly well, none of the smell you’d expect from a toilet just sawdust and emptying is an absolute doddle.Having now used it I probably would pay full price as it operates exactly the same as other compostable toilets but is the cheapest one available. I’m 15 stone and it feels solid when I sit on it.

I had this for a few months before using it. It was bought for my VW T5 van. I do a lot of long distance driving, with the occasional overnight stop-over in the van. This is invaluable if there is no toilets readily available or if it's pouring with rain outside. It's also much easier to empty than a chemical toilet (used one for years, and this is better). Also it doesn't smell.This looks very small but actually works great and it's small size is a benefit in a small van. I was pleasantly surprised at the toilets capacity and how sturdy it is. Be careful not to pee too fast as it can't cope with a fast heavy flow and will overflow into the solids bin defeating the whole object of a composting loo. This happened the first use but has not been a problem since as I'm now more careful. I like to wipe the diverter with tissue after each use or flush with a small amount of water. The red plug (purchased separately) is essential if travelling without emptying the toilet first. The recess that is for lifting the seat is useless, you end up lifting it by the separator which is unhygienic, but the recess is a handy slot to rest the red plug in when the toilet is in use. I am planning on attaching a small string to the underside of the seat at the front and have it hanging outside so as to aid lifting the seat. This, along with the cost of the unit and plug is why it only has 4 stars, otherwise it would have got the full 5.

Great design and fits in my car well with a boot jump, although I can't use the lid where I have stored it. The unit with the lid makes an excellent 'coffee table' when camping. It can be raised up with a shorter eurobox underneath, in which you can store toilet paper and coir/sawdust. I've got a squirty bottle of vinegar (stored under the funnel part) and water to rinse and clean, which works well to keep limescale and smells away.

My Boxio arrived. Although I like it I was a little surprised about how basic the whole thing is for the cost. It is basically a black plastic box with x2 containers with lids and a urine separater. I was going to make one but thought I would treat myself. I am not convinced it is value for money. Only time will tell.

They really are taking the p!$$ with this product. An enormously inflated price what what is essentially a very small plastic box and a bottle. Disgraceful, Boxio should be ashamed.Also, the number of poops the description says will fit, really won't fit.Don't waste your money people, this product really isn't worth it.

I have had a self build large composting toilet in a woodland off grid for 10 years so I know how good these type of toilets are in facilitating aerobic compost breakdown with no smell. I was looking for a compact ready made composting toilet to fit in a demountable truck camper. Most ready made composting toilets are too big to fit. The Boxio is compact and fits beatifully. Its easy to clean and maintain and lightweight to empty which is a big consideration at my age. It supports my weight fine with no problems, no longer being sylph like anymore.I found the low height a bit of a struggle to get up from, but the low profile is easy to solve with the addition of a eurobox as a height extension which also provides extra storage too as a bonus. I bought a 15 litre eurobox to give me an extra 17cm of height as being tall and arthritic this is the height I need. Disposing of the contents sensibly is a lot more eco friendly than chemical toilets especialy if using biodegradable composting bags for the solids and hemp as the dry medium.I like the fact you can buy spares easily, including additional urine bottles as you can guarentee it will want the bottle emptying when its dark and raining. Very pleased with its design and function.

We have used our Boxio in our van for 1 year soon and we absolutely love it. So easy to use and to empty. We bought the extra storage box to out underneath which makes it the perfect height and a great storage.

Ich habe die Boxio Toilet nun 4 Wochen im Wohnwagen-Urlaub mit der Familie getestet um muss sagen ich bin begeistert!Beim Freistehen, auf dem Stellplatz und auf dem Campingplatz hat uns das Klo nicht im stich gelassen.*KompaktDie kleinen Abmaße der Box ermöglichen es uns in unserem 35 Jahre alten Wohnwagen eine Toilette haben. Toilette passt perfekt unter das Bett.*BenutzungKindergartenkinder sowie Erwachsene (Männlein und Weiblein) haben keine Probleme mit der Nutzung gehabt: Große und kleine Geschäfte konnten problemlos verrichtet werden. Das große Geschäft haben wir mit einer Handvoll Hanfstreu abgedeckt. Toilettenpapier haben wir auch mit im Bereich für Festes entsorgt. Die Pipi läuft in den Kanister.Anfangs mussten wir etwas schauen, wie man sich am besten auf die Toilette setzt, damit alles in seinen Bereich fällt.*Entleerungdie Entleerung hat erstaunlich gut funktioniert. Für den Pipi-Kanister gibt es einen Deckel. Der Kanister lässt sich super am Griff tragen. Bei Gelegenheit haben wir den Kanister in der Toilette entleert und einmal ausgespült.Im Eimer hatten wir Kompostbeutel eingelegt. Beutel haben wir bei 4 Personen ohne Alternativtoilette alle 1-2 Tage entleert und in die Schwarze Tonne geschmissen.Bewährt hat sich hierbei, die Tüte zuzuknoten und den Deckel auf den Eimer zu machen. Mit dem Eimer kann man dann entspannt zu einer Mülltonne, um Beutel dort wegzuschmeißen. Manchmal hab ich gedacht, dass ein zweiter Eimer das Prozedere etwas erleichtern würde.Geruchsentwicklung:Geringe Geruchsentwicklung, wenn die Trockentrenntoilette offen ist und ausreichend Streu verwendet wurde.Wir haben den Deckel zusätzlich mit einem Clip verschlossen. So riecht man definitiv nicht, dass eine Toilette unter dem Bett steht.Wir hatten vorher mal ein günstiges Not-Eimerklo getestet. Wenn Pipi und Kacke zusammen in einem Eimer landen, riecht es innerhalb von Stunden sehr stark! Kein Verglicht zur Trenntoilette!Fazit:Ich würde die Toilette immer wieder kaufen. Passt super in unseren Wagen, lässt sich super reinigen und entleeren (einen zweiten Eimer werde ich ggf. für den nächsten Urlaub noch besorgen)Und der Preis im Gegensatz zur Konkurrenz oder einem Eigenbau (den ich überlegt hatte) ist unschlagbar.Mit einer Auflage auf dem Deckel ist das Teil auch eine super Sitzgelegenheit!
