A good idea, nice clean lines.... No ugly sensors.Everything is enclosed under the frosted glass dome.Adjustable settings for duration, movement and light sensitivity.Only down side is that the sensor can pick us up through the door so it come on every time we pass through the hall"Apparently can be reminded with a bit of tin foil but it's never bothered me.Well made, easy to fit.

I love this light and made a really good purchase. It looks good, appears to be reliable and the motion sensor works a treat so it does everything I want.There are three settings. The sensor can also be adjusted in terms of distance and can also be set so the light does not come on during the day. The last setting is duration for when the light should turn off.Updated review oct 2016. The light stopped working. The sensor works but light no longer turns on. Must be faulty so downgraded rating from 5 to 1 stars. Looks like others complained about the same thing which angers me a lot because this item is clearly faulty but remains on sale.Sounds like customers have complained to supplier who are not even interested in the issue and just tell you to buy a replacement bulb. I managed to get the light working again with the same bulb but it then failed again about an hour later. Light is definitely faulty and refunds should be provided as light not fit for purpose. Clearly there is a pattern here that the item is faulty. I strongly suggest the public to stop buying this product. One thing it will tell the supplier is they can't get away with selling faulty items or at least take the matter seriously with a response of change the bulb.I feel sorry for the new generation because nothing made today lasts. I liked this light a lot so very disappointed it stopped working after a few months.

I have bought 2 of these, and have been pleased with the result.The first was for an outside porch light, ceiling mounted.No problems with setting the on-time, or the daylight level at which the device becomes active. Though in the Amazon product description "Adjustable dimmer from 10 to 2000 LUX " could be misinterpreted by some as having a dimming facility whereas it's for setting the light level at which the device is active.I just left the sensitivity setting at max - it spots an adult moving outside at about 12m, which is fine. A spin-off benefit of a radar (as opposed to PIR) sensor is that the outside light activates just before we open the front door when going out, ie it 'sees' through the door.Based on the success of the first purchase, which seems to be at at variance with others' experience, I bought another to use in a toilet / shower room.The reason was so that small children who couldn't reach the light switch could go to the toilet themselves, as the room has no outside window.For this location I had to wind down the sensitivity a little so it didn't trigger when people were passing by outside the toilet door.Why only 4 stars? Well, it's a nice light, and works well, but at £41 it's a bit pricey.

Sensor didn't work. Returned free post and acknowledgement received to say refund on its way. Shame as elegant lamp.

I use this in my porch, where I wanted to improve security and illumination of the front door in the dark. I wanted a simple light without a separate sensor. The lamp is well made ( in Holland I believe), easily adjustable for sensitivity, range and time on. It is of simple and attractive design. The glass lamp cover ( not flimsy plastic!) is a little stiff and tricky to remove at first but, once removed, add a little Vaseline or WD40 to the rim then no problem! The lamp lights up as soon as door is open to to aid exit. Recommend using LED lamp so replacement is never necessary!

Bought this light fitting to replace a metal one which unavoidably rusts in our marine environment. Although this one is all plastic and glass it is robustly and very neatly constructed, easy to connect up and fix in place. Took three attempts to get the timing/settings right, but adjustments are very easy. The light looks smart, provides an adequate amount of light and will be very easy to keep clean.Very pleased with this purchase.

Bought the product in October, only had chance to install last month when I got the electrician round to do other work. Light work fine one minute, then not working the next. The sockets and bulbs are brand new so do not need replacing. Had had to pay to get an electrician again to take a look.Struggling to find details of a contact in amazon to see if I can get an exchange on the product as its clearly faulty.Would like a replacement or my money back but would not buy product again or recommend it.
