Short version:Expectations must be managed. These speakers are by no means "professional grade" however you're paying about a third of what would be deemed a professional price. And for that price you're gaining a very clean sound. A tasteful and neat design, and a level of convenience that other bookshelf speakers can be lacking in. If you're in the market for some bookshelf speakers and your budget is under £300, these are a safe, solid choice.Longer version:So! I've made a point to hold off from reviewing these until the speakers have had some time to settle in. These speakers are not as well published as similar offerings from Kanto and Audioengine, I had been researching speakers for my desk for quite some time and one day I just happened to stumble across these. Upon further research, Fluance is a Canadian brand established in 1999, famed for their Vinyl turn tables.The Sound: Very clean, High notes have a brightness to them without being at all harsh on the ears, these speakers are very easy to listen to. Vocals and midrange tones are clear and again, very clean, perhaps with a slight warmth? Though that could equally be summed up to your equaliser. Bass has a good roll off and id responsive, however of course, with many mid size to smaller bookshelf speakers, its not as punchy as it could be, If these are going to be your "forever Speakers" then i'd suggest supplementing with a subwoofer if/when convenient. I certainly plan on it. Yet its not a must have.Design: Its too much to ask for a real wood finish at this price, however the veneer finish is a nice matte wood grain effect. No visible glue marks or seams, Overall these are probably the prettiest speakers in their class. They do lack any kind of speaker grill mounting options, so be careful if you've got small children that might poke the tweeters inside out.Creature comforts: Easily the dumbest yet best feature of these speakers is you have the ability to turn off the darn status LED! So many speakers ruin their clean looks by having some obnoxious green or blue light to tell you its turned on! The Fluance speakers allow you to turn off this status light, allowing them to maintain a subtle and classical appearance. Beyond that they come with a simple remote with all the main functions one could need, plenty of speaker wire so you can really space them apart if you want to.Cons?: Of course the lack of really punchy bass is to be expected, there's little way to avoid that without tampering with the clean and crisp sound these speakers produce. A subwoofer is definitely a purchase on the horizon. Would have been nice to have a USB input as well. Some computers can have a bit of hiss if you're connecting via 3.5mm jack.

Look fantastic ( Walnut with white fronts)Sound equally fantastic for their size.Easy bluetooth connection.I complemented them with an Edifier subwoofer ( T5S 70 W ) for immense powerful bass, although on their own these speakers provide adequate bass, and clear, crisp treble.

The title may seem like hyperbole, but genuinely these are the best things I've ever bought. Indeed after two weeks with them, I bought a second pair for my partner's house. Here's why I love them so much:1) The sound is incredible. Listening to vinyl with these is a totally different experience to anything I've had before. You can probably stop reading here. They are just brilliant for sound.2) They are easy to use. You switch on, there a source button to switch between your record player and bluetooth and away you go. Vinyl is obviously the best way to listen, but bluetooth via something like Spotify (set to lossless is also great).3) They look gorgeous. I went with black which matches my set up. I got my partner the walnut, which are just beautiful. They also don't have the horrible covers of others in this price range, they look like proper speakers.4) They are top quality in build. They feel and look like a proper piece of kit. Plus they are totally wired, old school, and can connect to a record player with pre-amp (mine is an entry level Audio-Technica) without the need for a bulky amplifier and still sound amazing.5) They will change the way you listen to music. Simply put, you will buy and play more records.

Been contemplating buying new speakers for my pc. I had Edifiers which have been great little speakers for the last 5 years. It was a toss up between the Fluance or Q Acoustics. The Q's were a tad too big. And the Fluance Ai41 had great reviews. Letting them run in for at least 10 - 20 hours for the bass to settle down. Can't fault them at the moment. They look and sound great so far.

Well made, easy to set up, and - most importantly - delivery a very balanced and accurate sound. Unlike some other speakers of this size its performance in the lower frequencies is surprisingly punchy. I’m amazed that cabinets of this quality are available at this price point - but very grateful. Fluance is establishing quite a reputation and fan base. We may well have a classic in the making.

For £250, these are stunning speakers.Paired with my Fluance turntable, vinal as never sounded better in our house.Takes about10hrs to break in, and get better by the day.Awesome.

I've been using it for a month and very satisfied with the sound quality. In a small room they sound clear and detailed, thanks to big drivers.No concerns regarding the build quality. Nicely complements the decor. Remote control is simple.

These are just great. Nice clean sound with reasonable output and they do not distort at full volume. They pair easily and the build quality is very good. Maybe they would distort a little if you played them at full volume with the bass and treble set as high as possible, but I find no need to try that. I use these for music on vacation down the shore. I trusted they would be nice after having the AB40 Soundbase, now discontinued, for years. I also bought the Elite High Definition 2-Way Bipolar Surround Speakers for $119 years ago and they have performed better than expected at that price point. If Fluance made a portable Bluetooth speaker like the Klipsch Detroit I would buy it just because I would want to hear what they could do. I would buy their best turntable just to see how good it is, but I really do not need another turntable. I think they offer very good products in many price ranges across the board for fair prices.

Great speakers, easy to set up.

Die Lautsprecher machen einen richtig guten Eindruck. Der Klang ist klar, kraftvoll und für ihre Größe wirklich beeindruckend. Ich nutze sie zusammen mit meinem Fluance Plattenspieler und die Kombination passt einfach perfekt.

Very happy with the sound from these speakers. I use them with my Audio technica Lp60xbt turntable and with RCA connection the sound is great to my ears at least!Strongly recommend.

I am so impressed with these small bookshelf speakers!I bought them to accompany my new Fluance turntable, but they are now my main home audio/home theatre speakers as well.The clarity, “punch” and volume are just incredible.I have the turntable into the main input, my tv optical hooked up to play music through/via my Apple TV, and there is a Bluetooth input as well for streaming directly from my smartphone.I have completely moved my vintage stereo components and speakers into storage, they don’t even compare. These speakers are a dynamite value for the price. And they look GREAT.
