Really nice kalimba. Wood is high quality and produces a good clean sound. The tuning hammer is a nice addition as well as the carry/storage bag. Markings on the tines is clean and easy to read. You’ll enjoy this especially for the well stained wood finish.

Works fine, price was right, more or less hits the right notes---fun to play with , great for kids. We have a whole mess of small instruments that kids and guests can explore with.

Easy to learn and pleasing to listen to.

Plays easily and has a good sound. A little tin sounding at the extreme bottom of tonal range and flat/dull at very top. Mine is 21 notes so maybe the fewer note instruments sound different/better. I’m having fun playing it but avoid using the extreme ends of the tonal range because of the unpleasant twang.

I bought this as someone who likes to fiddle with music. A trained pianist, playing familiar tunes casually is a hobby and the kalimba is great for that as it's easy to pick up, play, and set down. Admirably, it's harder than I expected but will take some getting used to. This size has more notes than other models which is a plus but I wouldn't quite call this portable, though it can easily be put in a bag. It just does still take a chunk of space up. It seems well constructed and has a nice feel and finish. It came relatively in tune but also had the tuning hammer, as well as some other goodies like sheet music, starter guide, and bag. The thumb things to help twang the tongs don't seem to help much but I could be misusing.

I started playing this the day that I received it in the mail, and my two cats immediately took to the sound of it. Whenever I'm settling down to go to bed for the night, I play for a little bit and it seems to mellow them out nicely, whereas they're usually running around the house. It's a really pretty instrument, and this is made of decent quality, despite really being a cheap thing from China. I wish more things were made in the US, but alas, this was a good product for the price.

This is a cute little Calamba, but it’s not tuned particularly well. While it looks good, it’s not particularly high quality.
