50's Retro Style Electric Water Kettle with Automatic Shutoff, Removable Base, and Water Indicator, KLF03SSUS, Polished Stainless Steel

I recently added the SMEG 7-Cup Electric Kettle in Glossy Black to my kitchen, and I couldn’t be happier with it—especially since it perfectly matches my SMEG toaster! The glossy black finish is sleek and classic, and having the two side by side really ties everything together. The retro design adds a stylish touch, but still blends beautifully with my more modern kitchen. Beyond the looks, the kettle performs just as well as you’d hope. It heats water quickly and quietly, and the 7-cup capacity is perfect whether I’m making a single cup of tea or a full French press. The soft-opening lid is one of those little details that makes a big difference—it opens gently, without that sudden snap-back you get with other kettles. It just feels smooth and thoughtfully designed. Another feature I really appreciate is the built-in limescale filter. It helps keep the water clean and the kettle in great shape, especially since I live in an area with hard water. Cleaning is super easy, and I know it’ll last longer because of that. Overall, it’s a perfect combination of form and function. It looks gorgeous on the counter, works beautifully, and matches my toaster perfectly. Highly recommend if you’re building a kitchen setup that’s both practical and stylish!

Works great and is so beautiful!

This kettle is not only attractive, it does such a great job heating water! I have a friend with another major brand and it does not heat water nearly as quickly as my SMEG.

The quality is extremely disappointing. The plastic construction made the lid and handle feel cheap however we loved the design so we kept it. After only 3 months of careful use the gold paint is showing wear on the lid button and has small chips on the side. We trusted SMEG to stand by their reputation for quality but was again disappointed by the response received after being asked to submit a warranty claim. “Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your SMEG product. We’ve reviewed your case, and after careful consideration, we’ve determined that the issue with your product is due to a cosmetic flake, which is not covered under the terms of our warranty. We understand this may be disappointing, and we are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.” Cosmetic flake is not acceptable for a premium kitchen appliance that is meant for daily use.

expensive. BUT it does heat the water alot and fast

The kettle looks beautiful and it works fine. But the kettle is actually a plastic handle with plastic parts. It looks very sturdy in the photos but is not so sturdy when you lift it and use it. However I got over the initial surprise that it was somewhat of a cheap plastic product and really do like the way it looks and it does heat the water nicely and works very well. I think for the price of the kettle, I sorta expected it to be more solid. I do like it enough to have bought a second kettle to use at my vacation home. So I did by it twice and I do love the look of the design. Just know it’s not a sturdy kettle so if you have guest or kids who are not courteous to not break the plastic parts, you will have an expensive kettle with broken plastic parts.

Heats the water quickly and it gets scalding hot! Never had an issue with it and it looks great next to my SMEG toaster! It’s great quality, I love the design, and it’s well worth the money.

6 months in - best hot pot we have ever had. Fast, looks good, stays clean, even w/ our mountain well water w/ minerals.

La marca es muy buena en diseño y cumple su función principal que es calentar agua, ya hay una versión que te calienta el agua a diferentes temperaturas, lo vi recién recibí el producto, pero en mi caso es suficiente, amantes del té muy puntuales se hubieran arrepentido.
