Is the wood treated to protect it from the moisture in the washing? What kind of rope is supplied?

Hi , the wood is kiln dried. Requires no treatment. Wipe slats down regularly with a little bleach mixed with water if particularly wet washing is being hung. The rope is cotton with a strong poly core. Kind regards Sheila
