Amazing Shaver
Great shaver, looks great, feels great and does a great job. My cat is 15 now, Persian Mix with a very thick ling coat. She is not looking after herself now, her coat is just too much for her now. Last year her coat got so bad I had to take her to a groomers which traumatised her. This year her coat is worse, its not just underneath now its the top also. I cant take her to the groomers again, she took days to get over it. So I decided to get a shaver and do it myself. I receive this shaver yesterday and decided to try it on my small dog 1st and wow I was amazed, it removed her coat very fast. Was not looking forward to trying it on my cat, she's very grumpy and yes she whined a bit but I managed to get most of her coat removed with no help, no one holding her but decided to do it in stages so not to upset her too much. It takes time to get through the matts but its getting there. Would I recommend this shaver?? Yes 100%. Great Shaver, Great Price, Fast Delivery. Saved ยฃ25 shaving my dog myself so its almost paid for itself already.

Excellent for even the thickest cat fur.
I was extremely dubious about this clipper but figured at the price, it was worth a go. We have a 17-year-old Himalayan cat who simply can't cope with her full coat in terms of grooming. While she views clipping as torture, it's still less stressful to do it at home, sometimes in stages (yes, there are times when we have a cat with three shaved strips in an otherwise full coat running around the house). In warm weather, we keep her in a lion cut and the rest of the year I do her throat, chest, "armpits", belly, and "bikini line", where the majority of matting and mess can occur. I normally use a regular pair of men's hair clippers but the past two have burned out too fast, overheated quickly, and tugged a lot, adding to our cat's distaste for the whole process. I liked the idea of this being cordless and having a narrower head to make it easier to get into all the necessary nooks. The instructions are, indeed, all in Chinese, and the unit comes with a Chinese plug but also an adapter. As a surprise, it comes fully charged, which I thought a bit odd--but quite nice. The unit doesn't have an "auto shut-off" or alert light to let you know when charging is done, and instructions warn you not to plug it in for more than 2 hours at a go or you'll short out the battery, which is a concern. It's very quiet and light, and I was convinced it was going to be useless. Imagine my surprise when it made short work of kitty's full winter coat, undercoat and all. As is the usual case with her, any shorter guides are useless (the fur is just too dense to allow them), so I use the clipper bare, without a guide, and just take care not to nick her. I had to pull fur free of the teeth quite frequently, but the clippers never jammed or tugged, not even once, and never overheated like the mains clippers used to. The clipper held charge all the way through the clipping and is still at "full", going by the light. I can't comment on the longevity, but it's far cheaper than a single session at the groomer and did a great job. Hopefully it'll be durable but, if not, it's inexpensive enough to still be a viable option.

Fantastic razor!
I just bought this razor for trimming my persian cat who is miserable with the heat and the accumulation of hairballs. I used it as soon as I got it out of the package and it was just easy to work as a comb. The best is that is quite silent so my kitty did not get scared at all. I used the 6mm setting and just combed his hair out at 45 degrees. At 90 degrees you just cut the hair at the specified length as it comes with different attachments for different lengths. I did not want to leave my cat bald so the effect was a thinner fur instead. I trimmed the hair shorter in certain parts. He is now a happy cat! The only problem is that all the instructions are in chinese, but it's no rocket science to figure it out and the manual has plenty of pictures that you can follow. I fully recommend this razor to any furry pet owner!

Works a treat for Maine Coon
Works well trimming 3 year old Maine Coon cat with silky fur on top and slightly woolier fur around his flanks, tummy and bottom. It's not too noisy and the charge lasts so well I've only had to recharge once since I purchased it a year or so ago and I'm going to have to go searching to for the charger when it finally depletes. The trim guides are absolutely useless however, and the fur gets trapped in between the guide and the trimmer, doesn't cut through then ends up tangling and tugging the fur. I was disappointed at this because I imagine it would be easier to produce a smoother finish with the trim guide but I found working without the guides allows me to trim in closer around his bottom with better precision anyway which is more important to me than a perfectly smooth finish. I will highlight that this gets used- โข to trim back the fur around my coonie's bottom for hygienic purposes, โข thin out his flanks to reduce risk of matting, โข to trim out matts when they occur; and โข to generally reduce the amount of fur in these areas to make it easier for him to groom himself, to reduce the amount of fur he eats and reduce furballs. I don't shave his fur, and I don't have to worry about a perfectly smooth finish because the areas are largely hidden from view. Without the guide, these trimmers certainly have no problem cutting through my long haired cat's fur and any issues my cat has with this device is due to me holding him and cutting his fur off rather than the noise which makes a slight buzzing sound but not noisy enough to actually be the cause of bother to him. If you're looking for a show quality finish I'm not sure this is the product for you and I certainly can't comment on thicker fur or coarse fur (such as dogs) but I've certainly found it lightweight, not very noisy, good battery life and intuitive to use and with the exception of the useless trim guides it suits my purpose and budget.

Donโt like it
I bought this a month ago and only used it three days ago. I have a mini schnauzer and the clipper is too weak for this coat type. It keeps getting clogged with hair and constantly needs cleaning, and it struggles to cut properly. Overall, I do not recommend it. Unfortunately, I canโt return it anymore as the return window closed yesterday

Kitty approved!
I have 2 ragdoll cats, one had got quite a few matted sections on her belly. Although even with the low noise she was very nervous, with the help of my sister this made the job of removing them so much easier, with less distress to her. Battery works very well, still haven't had to recharge it. Have also used it to trim my own hair - so great use!

A brilliant purchase - has saved us ยฃยฃ and our cat from :( :(
Before we had these our maine coon would get matted on monthly basis as he refuses to be brushed. Our 1) two options were using comb/brush and scissors, but he would meow in pain for the half hour it took and it still didnt clear it all; 2) taking him to a groomer for ยฃ60, which worked but stressed him out and bills started to pile up. Now we just grab him, find the matted parts, and this very quiet clipper (a light buzz no more, doesnt freak him out) just shaves them away with no fuss and no pain to him. OK he still doenst like it but it takes 5 mins a month, no pain, and he's clear of mats. He does look a bit odd with bits of fur missing but he's pain free which is more important. No wires, quality bit of kit, and stupidly low price. Do it.
