I recently got this ant spray repellent and have used it a few times now. The product is a ready-to-use spray that is easy to use, no mixing, no diluting, and is advertised as being effective against all types of ants, both indoors and outdoors.At £12.90 for a 500ml bottle, it's not the best value option available. It supposedly offers effective protection for up to 8 weeks, which is a decent amount of time considering how frequently ants can return. However, 8 weeks hasn't elapsed yet, and I don't have an infestation, so I've only been using this on singular ants I've spotted around.Overall, this ant spray repellent is decent, but the value is off putting, so unless other solutions haven't proven effective, I'd leave this for later.

I was alarmed by all the warnings on the product when it arrived. It clearly is very poisonous. Keep children and pets away until it's dry - but it leaves a sticky residue, which attracts the ants, but would also attract dogs and bees, and possibly children. You mustn't get any into the drainage system, ponds, ditches etc. It kills every crawling insect. It took several days before the ants became interested, and then they swarmed on it, and I've only seen one today. It doesn't kill immediately, as it says here. I watched them writhe around for ages until I couldn't stand it, and finished them off with kitchen paper. If you have any left in the bottle, you can't rinse the bottle before recycling it, because you'll put poison in the drains and possibly rivers, where it will kill fish, and in the sea. And what happens to the birds that eat the dying insects and fish? Just because the Health and Safety Executive has passed this as safe if you follow the instructions, it's not good for the environment. In fact, it's harmful for the environment. There are safer ways to control ants in the house, like using lavender oil to deter them. And when I did use the product, very close to crevices and cracks because the spray goes everywhere, the pump leaked and my hands were covered in poison, that I could not wash off in the sink! As we're not allowed to give zero stars, I count one star as equal to zero. I therefore have to give this two stars, as clearly, as a poison, it works. But as a risk to wildlife in general, I think it should be banned! Horrific stuff. It's now going to the council waste and recycling centre, where, somehow, they are meant to be able to dispose of poisons 'safely'. But where will that be? Please don't buy this product if you care about the environment. Too many people use products like this without reading about the dangers on the labels.

I couldn’t use this once I read the ingredients as I have pets so I was afraid of the consequences, deltamethrin is a toxin that kills the ants but it’s not safe to use around some species.
