Can a shoulder strap be added?

I don't think it is possible since it doesn't have on the sleeve where to add it. The 15.6 inch laptop sleeve comes with shoulder strap.

I have the macbook air m2 chip. a2681. will this fit my macbook with my hardcover case i already have on it? or should i buy the 15.6inch bag instead?

Not sure how big your hardcover case is. My laptop is 13” x 9” and fits perfectly. I’m thinking you will need the 15.6” bag.

Do you think a dell inspiron 15 300 15.6 inch would work? i’m afraid i might have to stuff it in there.

If your laptop is 15.6" wide it will not fit into a 14" sleeve. I love the sleeve but my MacBook Air is only 12".

Is this slim enough to fit inside a book bag?

It is because it’s flat. I would make sure of the book bag measurements.
