Great fun!
The scenes are very stylised but superbly drawn and are a pleasure to the eye. Items are also well drawn but craftily hidden as well as not to scale or the same angle as the picture clue. The characters are also very stylised and wouldn't look out of place in a modern graphic novel. This is a search by object rather than search by list game and involves a lot of jumping between 3 time zones to complete each level. The `jumps' are quick so don't hold up the game play. Some items require interaction with other objects and pop-up boxes will inform you as and when this is required along with other useful details.A lot of the objects are almost impossible to find but the hint button will point you in the right direction. It also doesn't take too long to recharge. Hints are unlimited. A big plus is a zoom facility (right click mouse) and it really is needed sometimes. The mini games are an absolute pleasure and range from traditional to innovative. They also range in difficulty but can be skipped after a while if need be. Skipping will incur time penalties though.Although there is no integral walkthrough, helpful hints can be obtained by clicking on the figure in the bottom left of the screen. This game says `fun' from the very outset. The main screen and buttons are really well drawn and show that a lot of time, money and effort went into the creation of this game. The game play itself becomes a bit repetitive after a while but the scenes are nice to look at and, if you're into that sort of thing, also include historical facts from each time period. You might get bored though seeing the same 10 historical figures again and again. This game has something for all age groups and if not taken too seriously will be a pleasure for anyone who plays it. I played it through in only a few hours. The Rabbit HoleUnlike the first game this one is a partial click and point as well. It also has both picture and list hidden object games. One up on the previous game. The only thing I found to let it down was the irritating noises each time the `owl' ate a collected item. No biggie - just turn the sound down or off.The artwork is equally as good as the original and the storyline follows on as well.Played one after the other it wouldn't be a bad way to spend the day.Having played many HO games I have to say that these games are by far the best value for money.

review
really enjoyed the fisrt game, good hidden object sections, good puzzles. However the second game didn't work - it wouldn't play. I thought this a bit weird since they are on the one disk together. So a good start but then it all ended in disappointment.

Nothing on disc
This was purchased second hand and give as a gift, it’s been tried in three different computers and does not work ...... although purchased a while ago this was sent abroad for people less fortunate...... what a disappointment this is.Especially as it’s advertised like new in good working order !!!!!

Very Interesting
Found them good and interesting although the Rabbit Hole game was somewhat confusing to get started. Some puzzles were a too difficult and no explanation was given as to how to work it out, not the answere would have been useful.

Strangely compelling and hugely entertaining
I've bought a few of these types of games now and they've been popular with all ages in my family, from 5 to 65 year olds. Hidden object games are kind of like a higher tech version of the jigsaw, a sudoku replacement therapy! This has a great circular interface which allows you to move between different screens and find interdependant objects. It's not high tech but it's strangely compelling and hugely entertaining. It draws the family around you as they all want to join in.A bonus is that you get two full games for the price of one.It can be annoying when people are reading over your shoulder but it's a testament to the level of entertainment these games and similar ones can give.If you haven't tried any of these types of games, try these two and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

late starter
i didn't think that at the age of 63 i would be playing computer games but i'm hooked on these hidden object ones. my daughter got me started on the simple seek and find games but i got a bit bored with them after a few months with this game i had to use my brain ok it was a struggle at first but i'm improving all the time.i liked the fact that you used items you collected and had to put them in scenes so that you could progress further in the game. i also liked that you could choose the relaxed mode i like to take my time even to make a cuppa and notfound that i'd run out of time when i got back to the game, and i could carry on the next day where i'd left it from the previous day so it's great that it saves your level automatically. if a new game becomes available it will be a "must have"
