The brand-new, hilarious, feel-good adventure from the internationally bestselling author of The Hundred Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared Sweden, late summer of 2011. Self-taught astrophysicist Petra has calculated that the atmosphere will collapse on the 21st of September that year, around 21.20 to be more precise, bringing about the end of times. Armed with this terrible knowledge, Petra meets Johan, a domesday prophet, and Agnes, a widow of 75 who has made bank living a double life on social media as a young influencer. Together, the trio race through Europe as they plan to make the most out of the time they have left, in more ways than one. But of course, things rarely go to plan, even the end of the worldโฆ Review: Great fun - As with his previous offerings, Jonas has produced a witty, surreal, inventive and entertaining read. Difficult to put this down. Review: Review prophet and the idiot - Very clever plot and a very funny book as well. Would recommend this book particularly to anyone with an interest in world politics. This is definitely one of this author's best books and I will definitely be reading it again as there is a whole lot of very subtle humour in there that could easily be missed first time round. Very enjoyable read

Stretch the imagination!
Many a giggle, chortle or good laugh! the imagine nation is coaxed into action as the scenes unfold on the page! The characters are amusingly constructed and portrayed.. the action is plausible and comic, the extent of the story, from local to bizarrely remote regions and folk is vast. A comic read, although I admit to not finishing the book, just too much to stick to when a change of topic in reading material is beckoning.

Funny, entertaining, clever.
Very funny book. Not my favourite from Jonasson but still very entertaining and a good read. I can get through these books in practically one sitting!

unputdownable!
As expected from Jonas Jonasson, the author of his earlier work, โThe hundred year old man who jumped out of the window and vanishedโ, he has produced another masterpiece, weaving a hilarious story full of of wit, delicate portrayal of human nature and full of interlinked twists and turns, linking historical figures from many continents! Well done Sir, Iโm now a fan!

A very entertaining and cleverly assembled romp
Thoroughly enjoyed Mr Jonassonโs latest novel - it flows with ease and has more than its fair share of witty observations. The main characters are wonderfully woven together and you are rooting for them, despite some dubious ethical practices ๐. And of course, the REAL baddies get their comeuppance, or โjust dessertsโ, as the master chef and genius might say (by accident)โฆ

A Madcap Romp Into A Surreal World, the perfect escape
I bought this as I'd enjoyed the 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out The Window some years ago. This book was not quite so easy to read but thoroughly entertaining and I was not disappointed in any way. I wouldn't read this immediately after the 100 yr old man as the premise is very similar, but I have already bought two more of Jonas Jonasson's books for future enjoyment. A humourous escape into a surreal world, perfect for holiday reading as chapters were concise and thus easy to pick up and put down.

Looking Forward to Reading this After 'The Accidental Further Adventures of the 100-year-old Man'
Book in pristine condition. I purchased 'The Accidental Further Adventures of the 100-year-old Man' while getting uni textbooks. The title stood out to me. I enjoyed the book thoroughly despite not having read the first book. I haven't started reading 'The Prophet and The Idiot' yet but I hope it will make me chuckle embarrassingly in public, the way that 'The Accidental...' book did.

Funny, happy, intriguing, beautiful book.
I loved the author since reading 'The one hundred year old man.....'. This book eclipsed the original. Equally unlikely circumstances, great characters, it's of twists and turns, plus happily ever after. I normally read thrillers so this book came as a welcome change.
