Simple cookbook with so many different recipes. Can't wait to make a dish!

Recently have gotten into trying steam cooking. I have always steamed the usual food items; vegetables, etc. I wanted to try more than the ordinary steamed foods. So pleased with this cookbook. It should be fun trying the different recipes, and the techniques of steaming.

I liked the simplicity of most of the recipes, where anyone can tackle one and not be too worried about messing up. The book has recipes for everyone's palettes as well, so enough variety to be excited to try something new and surprising. I also appreciated the tips to elevating the dishes and properly using a steamer. One thing I would've liked though is adding tips for individuals who don't purchase the specific steamer spoken in the book. However, for those who have it, I recommend the book!

I found this book very helpful, but it has perfect images that help me identify recipes and how things will look once they are cooked.I also like how the author boldly mentions the main benefits of steam cooking—very well-organized book..

I like that there are pictures of what the food should look like and that the recipes sounded simple to make; however, I'm not familiar with three quarters of the food in the book. I'm 73 and want something simple with simple foods to help me follow a renal diet - this is not the book for me. For younger more enthusiastic patients with this disease I think it would be great. By the time I finished reading and going through the recipes I was so frustrated and depressed, but most of all discouraged, I just wanted to give up. Sorry for the bad review, but darn, isn't there a diet plan with simple to find foods and things we all know about? If I tried to keep that much fresh produce in my refregerator, not only would I go broke, but the food would go bad before I could eat it.

Besides just vegetables, I honestly never knew you could make so many recipes with just steam. The author is really creative with the types of recipes you can make. Like, Steamed Green Tea cakes, what?!There are honestly so many types of recipe options to choose from all the way from typical vegetables, all the way to deserts. There's honestly a recipe for everyone in this book.Call me boring but my favorite one thus far has been the brussels sprouts but I am determined to try them all. (Maybe not tofu but I digress)I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who tries to incorporate healthy eating but are bored of normal recipes. Or anyone who just wants to experiment with their steamer!Mine has now been officially dusted off and is ready to go!

Overall a good book on cook cooker. There are plenty of workarounds and things to avoid during the process. I'm glad the author put great recipes whilst showing the nutritional information.
