Not so much used in Eastern part of India/ Not a Sichuan Pepper
I recently discovered Triphal/Teppal, and I have to say, it’s a game-changer for my kitchen! While not commonly used in the eastern part of India, especially in West Bengal, I decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did. It looks somewhat similar to Sichuan pepper, but the color is different, and the flavor is truly unique. Trifal has smell but when use it in food no test or aroma.It's a dry product , remove all the juice from it.

Total waste.... No aroma or taste!
Total waste of money. No smell no aroma and seems to be of very substandard or poor wild quality. Don't waste your time and money on this product.
