His personality is nice, friendly
I just received this & have only done the first workout, plus the foam roller workout, so that's the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. For reference, I am a veteran Beachbody program user. I knew of Paul Katami from his Katami Bar workout many years ago. His personality is nice, friendly, helpful, intelligent and wonderfully NOT annoying. He's not a drill sergeant & doesn't yell. But he still gets the job done with lots of encouragement.As for the 1st workout, it's called "I am Change" and it's intended as week 1, workout 1. It is a series of 4 sets of 4 exercises, that Katami calls Quads and each Quad is done twice. One Quad is 1 min of cardio, 1 min of lower body, 1 min of upper body and 1 min of core, followed by 30 seconds of rest. The upper & lower body segments are either with weights or using body weight. It's very straight forward and to the point & it will get your heart rate up if done appropriately for your fitness level. This workout was approximately 45 minutes.The foam roller workout was almost 30 minutes & I liked it better than I thought I would. Some of the moves he used were Pilates-inspired, but with the Roller. And, as usual, my dogs enjoyed having me on the floor with them. They're very helpful...not. All in all, I liked this workout & I hope the rest of the workouts are similar but not too similar. As I said, it's straight forward, not fancy footwork required and no yelling or extreme movements. Thumbs up, so far.

Amazing!
So glad I gave this a second chance!!The first time I tried it,I hated since I started with the first training dvd and it was way too basic for me and I lost interest.Decided to try again,starting this time with the next DVDS in set and am blown away by how much I sweat and how challenging they are,yet doable.I am 55 and I do the medium intensity level of each dvd and love how much I feel as though I’m pushing myself,yet don’t feel punished!Paul is so encouraging and likeable and whenever I complete each workout,it sets the tone for an amazing day!!So glad I gave this another try,as I’m now hooked!!!

Not great but good.
I give the workouts 4 stars because the exercises are good but make for a long boring workout. Also he has you do the same workout 2 days in a row and you should never work the same muscles 2 days consecutively.

The Best Combination of Cardio, Strength and Core
I can't believe this hasn't received a higher rating because these are so well-designed, thoughtful, and efficient. I buy everything that receives decent reviews and own over 200 workout videos, including P90X, T25, etc. These DVDs are a great value because they include 12 50-minute workouts. Each workout consists of four sets of four exercises: cardio, lower body, upper body, core. Each set is repeated only twice, so the workouts move quickly and are interesting. As with all Katami workouts, the videos are professional, well-rehearsed, and encouraging. Can't recommend enough.
