I have had a few brands or shavers over the years, but the last Philips I had was so good (5000 series) that when that one finely started to take longer to charge (its years old) I decided to go for Philips again and although this Prestige model is a lot of money, wow, its worth every penny. A fast comfortable and smooth shave even with 5 day old stubble. The heads glide smoothly, the shaver gets every hair, even those odd funny angle ones the old shaver used to need 2 to 3 passes to get. I am delighted with this shaver and highly recommend it. One of the most obscure but useful improvements in design has to be the hinged head which makes cleaning it simpler. Philips are expensive but worth the money for the quality and the results

Like the fact you know how much charge is left. It gives a close shave very quickly, and is very easy to clean. The razor has 3 comfort settings. It doesn't take long to charge. Comes with a cleaning station with cleaning fluid, and a protection case. Overall I'm impressed, well pleased I bought it, the best electric razor I've ever had by a mile.

I have always used an electric razor, (55years and counting). This is the best one yet. Gives a very close shave, cleans well and not to noisy. The charge indicator is a nice touch as well.

I've always used Phillips shavers and my last one has lasted at least 12 years. I would never have paid the retail price for this shaver but I assume it's nearly always available at a reduced price and treated myself for Christmas. Shaves very close, quiet and comfortable on the skin. I went for the corded version as it has 1 hour charging as opposed to the wireless charging version which I believe takes 3 hours unless you keep it charged continuously. I have deducted a star for the non inclusion of a stand to keep the razor in when not in use. You get a case, but a simple plastic stand should have been included as with previous models. The cleaning station does not charge and is powered by the shaver running. The shaver has a sensor so it knows when it's upside down. The battery display wakes up when you pick the shaver up, which is a nice feature. It's not a great display but functional with minutes remaining, cleaning reminder. There are three power levels to choose from, I'm using maximum. So far, seems a great shaver but it really should be considering the price!

I also have a Panasonic Arc 6 which shaves closer BUT this Philips is so much more comfortable, it's so quiet compared to a foil shaver, the heads don't get hot like a foil shaver, and it doesn't leave flat hairs on the neck. I normally shave after 3 days and it still shaves so easily. I actually think the cleaning pod works really well. Overall extremely pleased but it's not as close as a foil shaver.

I have had several top of the range foil shavers that used to leave lots of stray hairs, this leaves none. I have sensitive skin but a very quick growing stubble which comes from random directions and is very tough. This razor isn’t as delicate on the skin as a foil but it’s still very good but it does remove all of my stubble even after 5 or 6 days. No other razor has even came close to doing that. It’s also very quiet. Best shaver ever!!

I bought the shaver to replace my Braun and I must say it’s the best decision I made. The 9000 is really comfortable to use, it gives an excellent shave without any hair, nips or pulls. The cleaners system is very good and very efficient. I wholeheartedly recommend this shaver to any man, wanting a smooth, efficient and comfortable shave

Just bought the Philips S 9000 prestige electric shaver after studying different razors.Boy was it worth spending a little more for a wonderful piece of kit.After reading instructions, charged the item to 100% and proceeded to have a shave. It simply glided across my face collecting a few days growth with ease leaving my skin as smooth as a baby's bottom . I would definitely recommend this shaver as I got at a great price
